I am currently using iClear30s and the quality of the replacement coils has been hit or miss lately. I have tried ProTanks in the past and they were great for a while then I started to have the same conssitency issues that I am having with the iClears. Any ideas on a new tank system to try? I am not entirely opposed to trying RBAs but I have never done it before so I would need help with it. I'm also not looking to break the bank with this purchase as I am about to purchase a dna mod in the near future.

Out of 2 iClear30s packages I've opened, one had a problem with some swarf that should have been removed where the airholes had been drilled. That resulted in difficulty screwing the tank all the way down to the base and would have caused some damage to the 510 threading on my VTR if I hadn't removed it.

It was easily cleaned up with a pocket knife but that does show some lack of quality control of the replacement coils to me.

I've still got 8 more to evaluate but I prefer to keep them in their sealed package until I'm ready to use them.

Carto tanks are pretty hard to beat if you are looking for a consistently excellent vapor producing device with as little fuss as possible.

This set-up from IBtanked is good for 5 ml of juice, enough to supply most vapers all day long. No leaks. By selecting cartos and tanks of different sizes you can have about any size and capacity you want.

I use an ibtanked with Boge LR cartos from litecigusa. They have a nice big laser drilled hole and wick better than anything else ive tried. Ikenvape cartos are nice too but out of stock a lot, they have one with 2 laser drilled holes. I feel like they give a very comparable vape. I havent changed my setup in over 6 months and its saving me money

Ibtanked is a specific maker of cartomizer tanks

They specifically are very popular here on this board as they seem to offer the besp ratio of low price to high quality.

Other carto tanks of similar quality, like the prive tank, j tank, trap tank, etc are more expensive for similar quality.

While yes, all carto tanks are essentially small variations on the same design, I hated the cheap smoke tech tanks I tried, and wrote carto tanks off as a bad idea for a long time. Not until I tried a good tank (mine happen to be IBtanked tanks) did I go "well duh! Coulda had a V8"!

Haven't made it back home to try my Ibtanked stuff but I am sold on carto's now that I have tried them. I picked up 3 pre-punched, 3 non punched and a tank with a pre-punched in it at a local shop near Toledo, OH. They are branded with the shops name and the people at the shop knew nothing other than the ohms, no manufacturer, no idea if they are single or dual coil but for me they are off the hook good with flavor and amount of vapor. I'm still vaping the pre-punched on my Cool Fire 2 at 8.5 watts that came in the tank 9 days later and it's hitting just like the first vape. I've run close to 80ml through it as of right now and I can't tell any difference from the very first hit.

I wish I could recommend something else but every time I grab the carto I have another "why didn't I try this first" moment.

I had Kayfun's, RSST, Fogger, PT2's and every variety of Iclear made and last I seen them the Kayfun's had packs over their shoulders leading the rest off into the sunset because I have abandoned them.
