But, it is a SUPER EASY bottom fill tank, as long as you keep the 0-rings lubed up. The Kabuki clone is really quite good for the price, it doesn't match an original kabuki, but many clone owners have moved on to the original. I did it the reverse way, so that's how I know, but it's not bad for the price, not at all and a great way to find out how you are going to like the tank, certainly. :)

If you're happy with your current setup, ProVaris are on Ebay and in the classys here for less than your originals cost. Should you want to replicate the smooth power of the ProVari, I can only recommend mods based on the dna boards, 40 watts and up. Vision Vivi Novas are out of production but with a bit of hunting you can find them as well as the STV varieties, and extra heads can be found too.

My wife and I are normally using the same combination and have stocked up for the foreseeable future. Nothing easier and more predictable than a ProVari/Nova setup. It's fun to try out new stuff but having a stock of your tried and true setups is great insurance!

First thank you everyone for the help i really appreciate it. I think we're gonna stick with the Novas because we know them and I can build the coils and have the supplies ready. I may need to start hunting some more if possible because I'm getting low on Nova hardware just had to replace a stripped cap today. Anyway I'm probably leaning on getting her the Jac. I watched the Busardo review and it left me uncertain about it. So I checked out the Lost vape Therion but it doesn't have the grooves cut out in the top so I'm pretty sure it won't work with a Nova. I haven't pulled the trigger on the Jac yet, overall Busardo gave it a thumbs up just I'm not sure about the battery door or the fire button being too easily pressed. Just gotta do some thinking.

The fire button on the JAC is indeed quite sensitive. Occassionally I will be holding it in my hand and hear the coils being fired because I was unintentionally pressing it. It's not really a big deal as long as it doesn't occur in your pocket or purse.

I learned very early on that before the JAC goes into my pocket that I click the fire button 5 times to turn the mod off. (Actually, the proper term might be standby mode)
In addition, it has a timed auto-cutoff feature on the fire button if its compressed for too long, but we don't want to depend upon that, right? I rather like the sensitive fire button on the JaC...its not That different from my 3 Provari's. Just click the fire button 5 times to turn it off, and 5 times to turn it back on,

There are two other fine reviews of the JAC by Todd and getch69 ,,,, check them out too.

Thank you. Very good to know about the easy power off. Pocket carrying is what I was worried about.

So before I get the Jac where do ya'll get your batteries? Should I get a charger or just use the USB?
I recommend you get either the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6 batteries. Both are 20 amps and 3000 mAh, currently the best amp/mAh combo available. I get a day's use with one while sub-ohm vaping at 30 watts; you may get more than that the way you vape.

RTD Vapor, IMR Batteries, or Lion Batteries are popular suppliers on this board. You can get direct links to those websites in my blog below and the article Battery Basics for Mods.

It is recommended to use a box battery charger to charge external batteries. Only use the USB for emergency charging. The Efest LUC (2, 4, or 6 bays) charger is relatively inexpensive and unlike their notorious batteries the chargers are considered to be of high quality. I use a Xtar VP4 myself. Nitecore is also a popular brand. In my blog below, there is another article on Choosing a Li-ion Battery Charger.

If your still on the fence about the JAC take a look at the Vapor Shark SwitchBox DNA 75. Very similar but the fire button is not a twitchy and you can get panels for it to change out the colors to personalize it a little, which she may like.

I've got one. They're nice but it's more comparable to a SX Mini than to a JAC. Much larger and heavier than Jackie.

Well built, for sure.

Very true. The JAC is smaller. I almost went with one but actually it was cosmetics that made me go with the Switch Box. I have so many black mods that it was just time for something different so I got the white panels for the Switch Box and now think of it as my Stormtrooper Mod.

I like it, and we were looking at plates the other day. No Black Friday sales so we're sitting on it for a while.

Considering White, Silver, and Electric Blue. Can't decide, but I love the Storm Trooper look too, which had to be an easy choice for you.

Hey y'all it's been many years since I've visited this forum. Here's my problem. My wife is wanting a new e cig for Christmas and I'm blown away by the options now.

For the last 5 years we've both been using Provari v2 with Vivi Novas. Her Provari is starting to crap out and with Provape gone I've got to branch out.

So I'm looking for ideas from y'all on what to get for our style of vaping if possible anymore.

Welcome back!

You can do soooo much better than Vivi Novas nowadays! I agree with other posters who recommend eGo One (v1 or v2) tank and CLR coils. For your vaping style, I suggest CLR 1Ω coils--they last forever, can be easily rewicked, cleaned, gently dry burned, and/or rebuilt (if you choose to do so). They are by far the best and the most user friendly drop-in coils on the market.

If you want a mod that's similar (in shape) to ProVari, I suggest Wismec Sinuous P80--I saw them recently on sale at Health Cabin for 12 or 13 bucks, but they are out of stock right now (no surprise :D). But you can find them elsewhere.

And if she's ready for a nice box mod, Joyetech Evic Primo is a very nice choice.

Good luck!

Thank you for the info. We'll stick to the Novas for now, but I know where to look when it's time to change.

Thank you all again for your help. After all of this looking at a Jac, Obi Wan has sold me. I checked out the Vapor Shark including Busardo's review and that's what I went with. I ordered the Vapor Shark with electric blue panels (blue is her favorite color) along with 2 batteries. I was gonna pick up a charger but noticed that my charger will work. Thanks again everybody y'all are so great!!!

I remember vivi novas - always reminded me of mop-heads...lol

Hard (if not nearly impossible) to get away from sub-ohm these days, and with good reason. It's actually a better vape - imo. Not just for clouds (Im not a cloud chaser by any stretch lol)

Last couple+ years, I've been using either a:
  • Triton 2, or
  • Cleito Tank.
Both work great, atomizers are $3 or so (depending on where you get them), last a couple of weeks (sometimes more/less.) These may now be aging - Cleito is the newer of the two.

I'm reading the suggestions along with you - might be time to upgrade my system soon (Dear Santa,.)

Off Topic
I've came across my old Provari V2 the other day - won't run my tanks.. :p
