Sup guys, names joey. Havent been apart of a forum in a while so im not sure really what to say. I do know that I need some help though. I currently live in the boondocks in north carolina and i've been smoking for aprox one year. My local tobacco store recently stocked disposable e-cigs in their store, finiti disposable models for 10 bucks, so i tried it out. I loved it. but unfortunately i blazed through it in half a day. it was a 40 cig equivalent or so they say but im not sure. so i picked up an analog cigarette to have a little nicotine before i went to bed and it was freaking disgusting. I know im not going back to traditional any time soon. But i need some advice. Im kinda strapped for cash but not in a terrible bind. The store i was talking about carries njoy starter kits. would that be recommended for a beginner? and a few more questions:

is there a cost effective way to refill one?

How long does one last for a half a pack smoker?

Should i go ahead and buy a 70$ enjoy? would it be worth the price considering how much i smoke?

I do apologize for all the questions but im really confused about all this :( I just need some help getting on my way, im about to go finish my nasty marlboro menth...I'de appreciate any help

Hi and welcome to ECF. $70 for an Njoy? That's a big ripoff. You can get a good starter kit with 2 big batteries, 2 atomizers, cartridges, charger, etc. for 1/2 that, and it'll be a lot better quality. I don't know how far you are from Cornelius but Madvapes is there. They're an ECF approved supplier and carry good stuff. If you don't live close enough to drive over there it would be quick to get an order from them. You might want to give them a call in the morning and see what they suggest for you. They're nice guys and won't rip you off. Look here for their address and phone # Policies, Terms and Conditions:.
As far as what to recommend, it depends on what you want. The smaller the battery the worse they perform usually. If you want something that's small there's the 510's or the KR808's. If you want longer battery life try an eGo or Riva. You can order juice (e-liquid) to refill cartridges or cartomizers. It's a lot less expensive that way.
As for how long one lasts, the e-cig itself lasts for many months usually. If you refill cartridges it varies with how much you vape. I go through about 3ml/day in juice, a 10ml bottle costs around $5 or $6 so I'm spending about $2/day and it lasts for around 3 days. Of course if you make your own juice you can get that down to less than $1 a day, or vape twice as much!

RN4081 is a bit harder to get parts for like blank cartomizers and manual batteries etc. Very little variety in the types of cartos available (when available). If you really want one, go to AZSmokeFree.com and buy the manual batteries so you don't have to worry about leaking refilled cartos killing your battery. Or check 7-11's prices on it. I think it's cheaper there.

But first look at stuff in the 510 line and KR808D-1 line.

Cost effective - not in the beginning. You need to buy something, hopefully it's right for you, gear up with spares and charging case etc etc and lots and lots and lots of juices to try.

Blown away in a good way or bad way?

If you want something small try this White 808-D Kit, or this 510 Manual Battery Kit (Black), no Box.

If you want something that'll go most of the day on a charge try this 510 eGo XL Kit with Carrying Case. That's about the best deal going on an XL eGo at the moment.

Any of those kits will give you 2 complete e-cigs so you have one to use and another on the charger. Switch them when your battery dies and you'll never run out of charged batteries. The KR808 uses a cartomizer which is a cartridge with a built in atomizer. The 510 and eGo use separate atomizers and cartridges. Both are easy to use, some people prefer one over the other. I prefer atomizers.

Any of those units will completely blow away the Njoy so don't waste your money one it. As I said, if you're close to Madvapes just drive over there tomorrow, or just give them a call since it's easier to get you set if they can ask you specific questions about what you're looking for.

My nearest hardware vendor is an hour away. It's definitely worth the drive. You get to see, touch, and play with all the toys that way.

It looks like you're about an hours drive away from Madvapes. Consider yourself lucky, there's lot of people here on ECF who'd kill to have a vendor that close. I've ordered from them a couple of times and can say they have some good stuff. I love their maple cream juice.

Consider the EM Riva from Liberty Flights? That is what I have, and I have loved it. I've vaped on it for two weeks long now, and have gotten my parents, and even my grand parents who have smoked since before I was born, to buy kits as well.

It's a little bulky, but it's sturdy, and I'm not afraid that I'll break it. You can get them for about $30. :)

Oh, and be sure to get some juice, as the kit doesn't come with any starter juice, just blank carts.

Given the choice of buying blind versus driving an hour to actually "touch and feel", I say go for the drive. MadVapes is quickly becoming the premier American supplier as far as variety goes. They might not carry some of the more exotic (and pricy) parts, but they make up for it in sheer volume. If you get into the "do-it-yourself" aspect, I don't think they can be beat. You can sample 4 of the major atty types (306/510/901/801) in various voltages and manufacturers. I'd say give them all a try.
