Hey guys, glad to be on-board with the e cig forum. I have gotten plenty of great info from here so I figured I should sign up and start posting!! I have been vaping for about six months. Started off with a good old ego twist than jumped to the wonderful svd with either a aspire bdc or protank aero.

But now of course there is no going back from the numerous mech mods I have. Currently have a authentic vanilla with a tugboat and also a clone turtleship with a tugboat. I build my own mods and I just stated experimenting with making my own juice.

DIY had been a challenge for me cause I just can't seem to get the mixture right for any 50/50 or 60/40 mixes. They end up coming out with no flavor and I put 30% flavoring in them. My 90/10 flavors on the other hand are coming out quite nice.

Hope everyone is having a great day, vape on!

There are so many wonderful DIY threads on ecf and wonderful people that will help you. 30% sounds very high to me. I begin on the low side of what ever recommendation are given and work with 10ml samples until I get the flavor I am going for. It is very much a hobby and a lot of fun. I have heard several say that to high of flavor percentages actually make the juice taste less flavorful. Here is the juice calculator that I use and it has some very good information.

Do It Yourself E-Liquid (E-Juice) Recipe Mixing Station!

Good luck to you and happy mixing. Just be patient and keep really good notes. ;)

Hi
Take a look at Hoosier's blogs, starting here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/hoosier/2254-hoosiers-flavoring-levels-aka-general-diy-guide-flavoring-ratios.html
He has a lot of great blogs on DIY

Also, here is a good calculator to use
eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator
The only thing is, you will need to measure each ingredient to get your "drops per ml"
The default is 20, but I get PG with nic 28 ..Plain PG 23...Plain VG 18, and flavoring is 32
So I print out the recipe using 28, then I switch it for each additive, and make the correction on my print out

I make 2ml size testers
That way if I don't like it, I'm not stuck with vaping a lousy flavor because I don't want to waste the nic.
30% is WAY to much flavoring to use .. you'll end up with no taste at all.
I didn't believe it, but "less is better"
The exceptions can be flavorings that are known to be weak, like Flavor West.
With FW, you need to use up to 20%
Then the other end is Flavor Art, which only requires 3-7% for the same effect.
DIYing has a big learning curve, but you'll find what' works for you but it takes a lot of experimenting.
So read of lot of Hoosiers blogs, and they will give you a lot of info.
Have fun
