I bought an e-cig after doing some mild research on here a few years ago and what I got was some leaky Chinese junk that took two months to get here. Well, i decided to wait till the technology improved some and there were better standards. A few months ago i picked up a Blu starter pack. It did nothing for me. It was just cold vapor, and often the cartridges had a waxy flavor. Then i noticed people with big, powerful, vapor clouds who looked very satisfied and I said to myself, "I must be doing this wrong." I came back here to see what the deal was and found the suggestion about starting with an eGo because of the high vapor output, the TH, and the quality it offered.

TL;DR

I went to American E-Liquid Store and ordered the eGo-c starter with some 100% VG liquid(tobacco, Mango, and Chocolate). Chose flat rate USPS shipping for 5.99 and got it from WI to TX in 2 days. I'm vaping now and im in love. Thank you, ECF, for steering me in the absolute right direction. Awesome vapor production, a very nice TH, a sturdy body, and a satisfied vaper. I can't wait to mod this bad boy!:vapor:

P.S. - Flat rate priority from USPS is the best shipping option, UPS is a rip off. As for the flavors: Tobacco tastes more like a strong cuban cigar than smooth cigarette tobacco. Mango isn't as good as I had hoped it would be, the flavor is too overpowering and a little like medicine/candy. I mixed some of the Tobacco flavor with the Chocolate and i must say that took the edge of the tobacco nicely. I need to experiment with flavors, I'll probably get vanilla next and some cigarette like tobacco flavor. Any suggestions? My cigarette of choice is a Marlboro 27. Looking for a similar flavor in 100%VG.

Glad you decided to switch over! I started out with an ego kit a few years back and it worked out pretty good for me. Then for some reason I gave up on it and started smoking again after about a month or so. I went back and forth for a while and actually gave up completely for quite some time when I started having problems with my Ego. I had the oldest version they made and not the Ego C. I've actually been thinking about purchasing the Ego C with the newer 1000mAh batteries as vehicle backup device since I've been reading a lot of good things about it. Plus I still have the old batteries and charger so I only need a few upgrade parts to get it working again.

I also live in Texas and the heat has made me consider buying a safer unit to keep in my vehicle instead of the Silver Bullet Mod that uses the big 18650 batteries. I have no idea how safe some of these Mods are in super hot temperatures? I've been using the SB for about a week and it's kept me off cigarettes flawlessly. I've been completely satisfied and never felt the need to smoke! So I know vaping can work with some good planning, preparations, and determination to quit for good! Unfortunately I messed up the connection to my SB a few days ago and had to send it off for repairs. So as of now I'm smoking cigarettes again since I have nothing else to vape with. I will be giving it my best shot once I get all the vaping supplies needed to be prepared against my addiction.

My advice is do as much research as you can on all the different mods, juices, and accessories for vaping. I'm horribly addicted to smoking and really need several devices around, ready to go so I have no excuse to buy or smoke any cigarettes. I can sometimes smoke almost 2 packs of Marboro 72 reds a day!!! As of now I'm waiting on the Silver Bullet to get sent back to me and I also placed an order today for a ProVari V2 Blem unit. I've spent soooooooo much money on vaping supplies it's a bit ridiculous. But I'm 100% determined to quit this year!!! Don't let the cost ruin the experience for you. I just think about all the money I've spent on cigarettes in the last 10 years and the damage it put on my body. Switching over is the best decision you can make if quitting cold turkey isn't likely!

Enjoy and have fun vaping!!! This forum will really help you out with any problems you might encounter on your vaping journey!

It's going to take some purchases to figure out the type of e-liquids you'll most likely vape daily. Depending on the way you like vaping, either using atomizers, cartomizers, tanks, etc. The PG/VG ratio makes all the difference. I personally found that I don't like the tobacco flavored liquids. They always seem to taste horrible and I don't like vaping anything that reminds me of smoking a real cigarette.

Some of the best tasting juices I've tried so far are from Zeus Juice, Alice in Vapeland, and Pink Spot Vapors. I really like the Tiger's Blood and Aphrodite's Affair from Zeus Juice. White Rabbit from AIV is also very good. I would suggest you purchase some sample packages from a variety of juice vendors and experiment with the PG/VG ratio. Of course everyone has different tastes! Samples are usually priced very reasonably tho.

Also look for the e-liquid reviews on this forum. It might help you narrow down some choices!

Try some sample sizes or sample packs from various vendors who offer 100% VG (some specialize in it, and some offer it as a choice). I'm sure others will come along to give you some other suggestions! :D

I smoked one cigarette and it tasted kind of weird to me. Filled up one with just chocolate flavor and it's hitting the spot nicely. I think i may just toss out the tobacco one, it's pretty gross.

I went to my friends earlier and was showing off my eGo to him and he pulled out a 1000mAh eGo-c twist he found in a waterproof bottle on a trip to the river. Just charged it up and it's awesome! Gonna keep this one for home use and the 650's ill use for on the go.

Thanks for all the advice, I'm gonna check out some of those sites Anurak. Even if you are just smoking a cigarette every now and then, less is better, especially if you are smoking two packs a day. With a friendly community like ECF we got all the tools we need to make the switch. It is expensive but it cant be more than cigarettes. Im gonna try to start stocking up on spare parts.

I can't wait to try some new e-liquid. I'm really liking the 100% VG though. PG always tastes waxy to me.
