Add a few drops of Vodka to a tank of VG juice to thin it for ego-C tanks

New member here with something I tried and it works well.

Hardware: ego-C

juice: MyFreedomSmokes VG based (various tobacco flavors)

The VG juice produces great vapor but tends to burn on long hits because it is just a bit too thick to wick quickly enough in the ego-C system. Add a few drops of vodka to a (nearly) full tank, cap it and shake and wicking is much improved. The juice thins just enough to wick well without noticeable flavor loss. I prefer using Vodka to distilled water because I have plenty of Vodka -- handy bottle of distilled water, not so much.

You can now take long, slow hits without dry wick burn for tons of satisfying vapor. Flavor does not seem to be reduced, and the amount of actual Vodka involved is absolutely negligible as far as having any alcohol effects on the brain.

I don't like a lot of PG in my juices because it makes my nose run plus I prefer the maximum amount of vapor I can get.

Cheers.

Yah ego c attys really don't like high vg juice. They just don't wick well, and the attys seem to last only a couple days and @ $5 a pop it adds up fast

Instead of adding vodka (and be very careful about using that!) I would recommend upgrading to some new tanks. Try out a protank or a vivi nova, both seem to handle vg juice well. The attys are cheaper (2-3 bucks) and seem to last me much longer than the ego c attys. if you do get new tanks make sure you get low ohm attys. 1.8 ohms works ok on a regular ego battery but I would suggest upgrading your battery's to and ego twist for much much better vapor production

Vape on and enjoy!

Thank you both for the suggestions. I would like to try the Protank. Looks perfect for at home extended vaping and also looks very well made.

Can you also recommend a cart or tank for at work? I'm looking for something that maintains the cigar shape (the Protank would be cool but I anticipate a lot of razzing if I used it at work) and can work well with high VG liquids (I prefer clouds of vapor).

Thanks again.
