Has anyone seen/used the new eGo-EPower? Its SmokeTech's new 3.7V E-Power and it looks pretty sick.

It comes with 2 2800mah batteries. I heard that they are IMR batteries but Im not 100% sure

It also comes with your choice of 2 atomizers/5 cartridges, a 5 pack of Dual Coil Cartos, or the new Dual Coil tank.
It has the eGo style end on it with 510 threading AND cone threading.

I was just wondering if anyone has used it yet. It looks pretty sweet and 2800mah IMR batteries would be awesome.

Here is my :2c:

The tube and the switch is one piece, so instead of a defective switch replacement now you have to replace the whole mod.

I have not seen any 18650 IMR's at 2800mah (still possible but I doubt it from Smoktech.)
I do not see it written IMR on the batteries just the sellers description.

This seems to be the way Smoktech works junk the e-power 18650 and bring out another one instead of fixing the one they had. If this one dose not work they will junk it too. Just so it's clear suppliers stopped carrying the e-power 18650 because Smoktech could not show that it fixed the problems.

My personal experience with the e-power mods both the 14650 and 18650 have been great. I feel for the people who have nothing but trouble mainly with the e-power 18650.

I own 4 e-power 18650's, 2 I bought in June 2011, and 2 in august 2011. The 2 in june had threaded tubes, and the 2 in august had tubes with thread inserts. The result was that the switches from August do not thread into the tubes from June. I point this out to show that Smoktech 1) dose not know what it is doing, 2) dose not care about it's products, 3) probably contracts out to the lowest bidder, 4) has never heard about standardize manufacturing. Pick any or all you think apply.

If it sounds like I'm venting sorry, it just irks me to see a company just running after peoples money with one shoddy product after another without posting a "tread carefully", leaving people high and dry is becoming a hallmark of Smoktech.

I be very interested to know what the switch capacity is, what is it's limitations.
Today anyone considering an 18650 mod need's to know if that mod will accept the new "Kick" from Evolv an option that will be worth considering.

Here is a link to Vapourtrails Tv the "Kick" appears at about the 26 minute mark.

My apologies to the OP, hate to step on anyone's excitement over new vaping stuff, must be getting old at this.:p

Ha dont apoligize! I agree with you mostly. Thats why I use a 14650 bc the 18650 has so many problems. I also agree with what you said about the different 18650 thread versions. That is total crap.

I just happened to see this and didnt really see anything about it on here so I started the thread.
You brought up one if the issues that I was wondering myself.
So does the new one not use non-proprietary batteries? That was one of the big things I liked about my E-Power and would be dissapointed if they got rid of that.
I wasnt plannign on buying one anyway, but was curious to see what people thought ofit. I'm not one of those people that feels obligated to buy a new PV every time something new and shiny comes out. The only thing that caught my interest was the 2800mah battery, but even that I'm kinda skeptical about because I've never heard of one that big. I have the 14650 E-power and couldn't be happier with it. It works flawlessly for me with the Ressurector cartos and the 1050mah batteries last plenty long enough to suit my needs.
Thanks for you input northhar, you make a lot of good points. This was kinda the reason I started the thread. I wanted to see what people thought from ALL points, both good AND bad

I just got one, I'll be publishing a full review soon once I have some time with this model. The batteries aren't labeled as IMR (or anything else, Just SmokTech 2800) They have the same top as an IMR, but I can't tell for sure. The device is actually a little smaller than I expected and isn't that heavy.

The switch assembly is indeed non-removable, and it basically is built like an eGo from the switch up with the transparent hard plastic button and eGo threading, so all the eGo specific hardware will fit it.
