New Ego user questions?

You may (or may not) remember me from here. I got my eGo Passthrough 900mAh in yesterday from RawrVapor and I absolutely love it. I also love that Rawr adds a sample to all orders! I got 5ml of Strawberry Cantaloupe juice, and as it turns out, I'm not the biggest fan of sweet juices. At least I didn't have to pay to figure that out!

Anyways, back on topic. I've been looking at getting a tank for this PV. I don't want it to be much (if any) larger than the battery portion itself. I assume I would also need a different cone (mine came with the short one) to make it look like just one piece. Anyone have suggestions?

This came with some Smoktech 1.7ohm Single Coil cartos. They are just shy of 2 inches in length. Are these the XLs, or regular length(I would think XL)? What's the length of the one I don't have (Standard?)? Odd, just noticed Smoktech doesn't list any Single Coil cartos on their site ... and there's also a smoktek? Now I'm a little confused. Which is the ripoff?

Last question for now. All of the tank / carto combos that I see seem to have dual coil cartos in them. Is there a reason for this? Should I be vaping a DC with a tank, or is it just personal opinion? I like the aesthetic of DC, but I don't like burning twice as much juice and battery life.

Condensation in the drip tip, is this normal? Any form of prevention, or just clean it out every now and then?

You should get a 3ml DCT tank and some boge LR XXL/XL cartos in it... I dont know what store you prefer so I cant give any links, but I think you cant find these items by yourself.

completely agree with this, either boge lr or some smoktech lr cartos..... i personally like around 1.8ohm-2.0ohm on a ego and those are single coil not dual coil

Hmm, for that battery I'd get me a nice clearomizer. Try a Kanger T2 or Mini Nova. Both get excellent prods but I have tried only the Kanger T2 and like it very much. Also, that 1.7 ohm seems like it is a little on the light side. I would think you are burning a little on the hot side at 1.7ohms (the bat is 3.7 volts so that yields an 8 watt draw...that's a bit high for most clearomizers). The Kanger T2 comes in both 1.8 and 2.4 ohm. I'd get one of each and try them out to see which one you like the most. With that batt, I suspect you'll like the 2.4 ohm better. That puts you at 5.7 watts which is a comfortable zone for a clearo.

I agree with deleon517. The 2ohm single coil cartomizers are great on the ego battery. I use 2 ohm scc from madvapes in my 3.5ml dct. You just need the little stainless steel thread cover on the ego battery and it will look real nice. The 3.5ml tank is almost the same diameter as the ego battery.

I use clearomizers on my eGo and love them. I use Visions type and get great flavor and TH. Easy to fill, easy to clean, no leakes and cheap to buy.
