Hey y'all. Found y'all's forum tonight when me and my girlfriend started looking for replacement cartridges for the smoking everywhere gold. I've been wanting to y'know, NOT DIE from smoking, but I absolutely love the taste, hit, and act thereof of smoking. No one in her family smokes (they don't care, but it's extremely awkward and I'm soooo much more self-conscious now).

Anyways, long story short, one of my friends gave me his old Sinless Smoke supermini - my first experience with ecigs. Very enjoyable, very convenient -- But the vapor was lasting maybe 10-20 puffs? He'd said that two drops would last about half a pack...I guess he smoke different than I do. Anyways. So I'd been excited about that, and my girlfriend was too (no more having to stop cuddling to light up). But I just wasn't getting the satisfaction and 'full' feeling of smoking like I was. So we went out to the st. matthews mall here in KY, and got the Smoking Everywhere Gold Wallet Surgery Special ($212, after tax). I blame myself, and partially them, but mostly me --- I'm impatient and didn't want to look online and wait for one to come in the mail. I thought that the 'cartridge kind like I saw in the mall' would give me a full 20 cigarettes. I WILL admit that the nicotine dispersal is a LOT more even and satisfying with the carts than when I was adding drops to the cart in the Sinless Smoke supermini, but it's still only lasting about 3 cigarettes.

After reading through here a lot, I've come to expect that. My real problem isn't with the carts, or the walletrape for that matter (learning experience :( ).

I smoke hard, and I smoke fast, and need to figure out some way to replicate this.

Dusty videos helped IMMENSELY in getting better/more vapor from the ones I have, and Rusty's method of covering one of the supermini's holes is great and gives me a little more satisfaction. :D

The super-short version (and I've done some research here, my girlfriend's looking through Wicked's drops right now) is that I want the drag to be harder to take (at least that's what I think I mean), like the full-flavor Camel Wides, and I want more vapor. We're working on the vapor part right now...but what suggestions do y'all have for making it feel like smoking a real cigarette?

Sounds like you're looking for a hard pull, lots of throat hit (TH) and a nic kick.

So I'd recommend looking into getting a 510- it's very popular, lots of support for this model in the forums, excellent TH and compatible with mods when you go that route (which judging by your particular priorities you probably will). It runs pretty hot so you'll get a good nic kick as well.

Cignot has the 510 kit for $35. They're a reputable and popular supplier that sells Joye parts rather than knock offs:

Joye 510 NO BOX

They also have a good selection of juice. You will probably want to look into medium to high juice- I'd rec getting some 24mg and a bottle of 36mg too to top off with for an additional nic hit.

Litecig is also a great supplier and they have a lot of inexpensive juice as well. You might also want to check out the m401, Litecig has those. They're great for dripping and trying new flavors when you're starting out- and they have the harder drag you seem to be looking for.

I don't vape tobacco flavors so I can't really recommend anything but it's the eternal search around here and you'll find tons of threads on it :)

Thank you so much Birdy. Learning all the slang being thrown around here is half the battle. Now I have some more things to throw into the search bar! We (well, I at least) are pretty excited about the prospect of modding stuff and coming up with liquid recipes (Amy is all about the cotton candy, and she doesn't even smoke!) Thank you again for the information!

hey no problem :) It's really daunting at first - tons of info and all the lingo but you'll get the hang of it. (ECF just added a helpful feature that creates mouseover descriptions on certain abbreviations you see around here. For instance mouse over this, or anything with a dotted underline: ECF)

Here's an excellently epic introduction to vaping post (and almost all the info you could possibly need):

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...strated-guide-e-cigs-parts-1-through-6-a.html

It's a huge post but really worth reading.

I personally use a 2 piece (KR808D-1 aka a VK) from V4L. It's easier IMO and the flavor is rad - might be something to add to your collection in the future ... but I really do recommend the 510 because it sounds more suited to what you're looking for, and it's a great place to start.

Just be sure you're getting actual Joye parts- there are some knock offs that are just full of FAIL out there lately.

Good luck!

Hey SmokinPony!
I got my first ecig from Nhaler, (Good customer service.) it's the Greencig G220. It would probably fit your bill to the t! It has a harder draw than the 510's, longer battery life, great flavor comes out of every juice I've put into it, great throat hit and great vapor! I got the idea of how to refill the cart on this forum. The addy's NEVER flood!
510's, too short of a battery life, atty's always flood, so dripping is the only way to really vape on these. Great vapor on this unit with a very easy draw. I got mine with a new style atty from StrictlyEjuice.com. (The new style of 510 atty's are much better than the other ones that I got from another company.) Excellent customer service and they have lots of choices of Juices. Also the cheapest price that I've found on the 510's.
I just got the DSE 905, (with the 801 atty & carts with adapter) from wordupecig.com, excellent customer service, plus they are only 20mins from where I live! I picked up my new 905 from them 2 hours after we chatted on the phone. I really like this ecig, super long battery life, 12 hours and still puffin' on one battery with 1 charge!), similar draw to the Greencig. Good flavor and vapor comes out of this unit.
Juices make a difference too in vapor and throat hit. I ended up going from 18mgs of nic to 24. Throat hit is much better with the 24mgs for me.
Good luck finding the perfect ecig and juices for your needs!

SmokinPony-
The "L2" 510 knock offs from strictlyejuice are exactly the ones I was warning you away from. They aren't a "new style", they are inferior copies they tried to pass off as genuine Joye products. Now they;re being cagey about who makes their new "Joye510s"... because it's a trade secret or some nonsense.

And you can get juice just as cheaply from other well established and trusted suppliers.

You've already been burned once and I'm trying to save you from that again.

Just to add my two cents:

If you want a really good tobacco flavor for your tastes and desired TH, you'll have to shop around a bit first. Everyone's got different tastes. Don't buy a ton of liquid from your first source - you might end up with stuff you can't stand - instead, sample from a few places. You'll pay more per milliliter for small sizes and shipping, but it'll be worth it so you don't waste money on big bottles of flavors you don't like. Birdy linked to The Wonderful World of Vaping and I highly recommend it (it was my intro too) - Part 5 lists some suppliers of liquid.

Sample, look for reviews here in the ELiquid Reviews, sample more, ask questions about your model (if you do choose the Joye510, there are tons of users and quality suppliers here who have already produced a lot of information on that model), and enjoy. Lather, rinse, repeat. :) Welcome!

Wow. Did not expect this much info overnight. :p

Some kinda/sorta good news -- even with the s****y smoking everywhere product, I was able to replace my morning analog -- something that I've not been able to do (even when I was trying to quit before, had to have one in the morning). So this bodes well.

Again, thank you so much birdy!

Fedor, will definitely try out the M402 (Is it sad that I'm drawn to these just because I'm used to everything in the Army being designated M-something???????)

Will be messing around with stuff in the future -- but going to try to stick within my monthly $100 cigarette budget. Hopefully in a few months I'll be able to settle on something and bring that down (part of the point of all this).

Thanks again for all the support!

You get it right with a 510. Figure that $100 as start up overhead, read the forum and a little homework and soon it'll pay for itself. Right now all I spend is about $8.50 a week to vape, it used to cost me $91 a week to smoke. Plus, Uncle Sam isn't getting any of it!
