I'm sure some things are still being worked on behind the scenes, but you should be able to set it to your default theme as far as I know. I just posted this in another thread, give it a try and see if it works:
I saw the new skin then it reverted back and I tried what you said in settings and it worked. Love the new look.
Nice. It always bothered me that the old themes had trails of vapour and images of people vaping, and huge logos. This new one is more discreet, for an office worker to stealth-read ECF. All good
Good idea. What we need is a couple of stealth skins.
The header will have something like Federal Office of Corporate Tax Affairs, with a spoof graphic for some gov department and a bunch of tax link buttons and stuff on the top navbar (that go nowhere). That way if anyone looks over your shoulder, you're checking the company's tax strategy online.
Or: EU Directorate of Health and Safety. Similar bumph for the euro wage slaves. "Hi Nigel, yes I'm just checking the company's position on the corridor flooring friction index as related to the slip and fall stats".

The screen is now too bright for my eyes in the morning.

Why? Just change the theme back to the old one that you were using.
For me it's the combination of a brighter background, along with a lighter weight font.
I had to revert to a different theme.
I'd love one with just a slight dash of cream coloration into the background - take the edge off the harshness of the blazing white.
Is it just me or does this forum now look very familiar to a new forum that has popped up recently?

I like the new look, but boy is it bright! Tone down the background a little and it would be perfect. Here's a question: since you redesigned the site, why, oh, why did you not change the term "e-smoking" to "vaping?" The first term is so archaic. Change it. Just my 
Beta tested for a short minute back in May. A lot of comments on it too!
