Hi, after having been reading here occasionally for the past 9-10 months or so, I finally thought it a good idea to register and start posting as well. Till now I've been mostly active in the two big German forums.

My name is Hazel, and I am a dual German/American citizen, however lived in Germany most of my life. Been into vaping since last November and haven't touched a cigarette since January 3rd this year. :toast: vaping is just so much more fun and so much tastier! :D

Anyway, I hope that I'll get over and done with my first five posts quickly (without spamming of course!) so that I can also access the European forum. Might be an interesting experience to meet some of my fellow German "forumers" "on foreign territory"...

Hello and welcome Mamamia. :) I'm new here too, been lurking and vaping for about a month. There's definitely been a learning curve and some frustrations, but I've gone from 1.5 packs a day down to maybe 2 cigs a day at most, often none. I haven't been stressing about quitting completely, figure it will happen soon enough. I have 3 packs left from my last carton and never plan on buying cigs again.

This forum is a tremendous resource and I'm glad I found it. It's brimming with friendly and knowledgeable peoples. Thanks ECF! :)

Hope this is an okay place to put my first post, didn't feel like starting my own thread. =p

Oh hi, divided!

I started out vaping in order to just cut down my daily cig input (which was well over 40 per day over my last year of smoking analogs!!) .... I thought it might be cool if I could cut down to maybe half or, if I was good, to even remain at less than 10 cigs a day.

What shall I say? During the first week, I was so busy trying to find out "how that vaping stuff works" that I didn't even have the time to smoke so much any more! First vaping day: 19, second: 13, third: 11 or 12, fourth: 9 .... and so it constantly went down .... after a month I was at 3 per day (that was the week before Xmas last year), and at Xmas I just had ONE per evening. After New Year I seriously asked myself what the hell I got out of that ONE cig per evening? The honest answer was: nothing but a shortage in breath and a bad smell.

That was on Jan. 2nd, after my "usual" evening cig .... and that was the moment I decided that I really could do better without it.

It ALL went completely automatically, and yes, I also took it a bit like a sporty challenge ... and I was determined to win this challenge. Which I did, and am very happy about it! :2cool:

That's awesome, congrats. :) I hope I get there soon. I actually went 8 days without one and then caved during a stressful week and now I have a few here and there. Each time I smoke one it tastes disgusting and makes me want to brush my teeth then vape something delicious to get the taste out of my mouth. :)

I'm also glad to be giving my money to ecig vendors instead of big tobacco. I've been really impressed with all the vendors I've used so far for juice and hardware.

Thanks Jimmy & naga for the welcomes!

The next thing I'm going to check out here is people's opinions on and experiences of "The Buzz Pro" .. which is a thing I am flirting with right now... *giggle*

@divided: I am also happy to not support Big Tobacco any more.... and I am into making my own juice ... I vape also commercial juices here and there, especially if they have some promising names or good reputation or so. But most of my e-juice comes from my own devil's workshop.... a new hobby it seems! :)

Edit:

@WWWF: Sorry, have to do a research first! Never heard of them.. but then, I am OLD.... my musical GODS were the Beatles and Pink Floyd....

Edit2:
Am just listening to some of Funker Vogt on utube ... well, not bad, but not quite what I like to hear all day or so.

Sure wish I knew just what the hell people see when thinking about migrating to the states... She hasn't seemed beautiful to me since I was an ignorant little cuss, and it only gets worse the more you learn! Too inquisitive to enjoy what freedoms are left, I suppose. On that note, I always considered Europe to be far more beautiful, not to mention employing a far superior lifestyle. You have freedoms and governmental programs that we can only dream about here. So... Why?! Would you move? lol

Pardon the rant, (just a lil bewilderment mixed with the warning of our current insanstability here ;) and welcome, Frau Mamamia!
