I use this site quite often as reference and decided to join. I may only be on 2-4 times a week but I will try to stay current. I use Halo G6 and V2 as back-up devices. I'm not into the whole tank systems as of yet and am satisfied with what I have. I am interested in getting to know people in the area and attending local meets if there are any. They seem to be far and few in between and I hope to change that. I currently live in Hville and work in OP and downtown. I'm the only person I know that vapes and some in person social interaction would be a nice change in life.:vapor:

Thanks all! I've looked for local vapors, mainly south of Kansas City, to start a local meeting for both social and informative gathering but haven't had much luck. If anyone on here knows of anyone, please send them my direction! Also, I'm relatively new to both forums and blogging so please be patient as I learn more about it.

Well, as the saying goes, here's the rest of the story....
Started smoking at 17 (Lucky Strike/non-filter) and have been addicted to cigarettes ever since. For me, it wasn't the smoke, the hand to mouth action, the lighting up, the moments of urge..... It was everything. I think what many or most non-smokers don't realize is that it is a life consuming addictive habit. Everyday is made of stopping to buy a pack, opening, smelling, lighting, tasting, ashing, driving with the window cracked, nicotine addiction, socializing and the dopamine/serotonin release. This is a huge gap to fill and for myself it is especially hard with my personal circumstances in life. I have tried every means to stop smoking. Gum, inhaler, chantix (wow), the patch and even some e-cigarette brands. I've also used a combination of them all. A month ago I had just given up. Nothing was going to work for me. All attempts ended with me eating sugar and spending large amounts of money on crap I didn't need. I still enjoyed reading about others attempts and success and found a story similar to my own. So I started the research. Best products for my needs. In a gas station one day I saw a rechargeable V2 and for $12, sure. One last attempt. I mainly used it for about a week and cut smoking from 1-2 packs a day down to a pack about every 48 hours. I got comfortable with it and bought another so I could have two. I haven't bought a cigarette since. I found the quality, consistency and general feel I was looking for. But I wanted more. The sugar and spending impulse was lingering, though manageable, causing unwanted stress. The solution..... celery, almonds, cheese and an advanced starter kit. Invest my spending into my new habit.
So I started looking at the starter kits from the most popular brands. Halo, V2, Green Smoke, Apollo etc. As far as a complete kit, V2 got it. I was impressed by all the ultimate kit had to offer along with all the personal preferences that could be applied. The price was rather off setting though. $180 plus shipping. Third party product reviews were looking great though. So I gave it some time and kept researching. I kept reading about Halo because their name was right behind or in front of V2 at every turn. I eventually found a few complaints about V2 customer service and also spotted a large inconsistency. Their starter kit was $34.99 on the website but only $18.00 at a gas station. These two items set me back and I gave Halo more attention. I dug through their website and built my own kit with the same stuff as V2's ultimate and the price difference was an astounding $50.00 difference. I bought the Halo system and was upgraded to free 2 day Saturday delivery. I still keep and use my V2 as back-ups and intend on buying the Pro series next month. These two brands are outstanding and the best part, I haven't had a traditional smoke in nearly a month.
In regards to e-juice. Halo is a class of their own. Nothing tastes like them and they don't taste like anyone else. I have not tried V2 aside from what came in the carts and will order some with my Pro series. Foos is everywhere in the Kansas City area but they leave a nasty film in my mouth and are very heavy. The 34 mg plain flavor is the only one I can stand and I usually mix it with something else. Throat hits are different for me. I smoked non filter for 14 years so even the Cap. Jack from Halo was light for me ;-). But I am comfortable now and no longer fight the urge to have an analog. I can even be around other smokers and it doesn't bother me. Happy vaping Everyone!
