Hi, I'm Cupcake, I'm 20 and from NJ (I'm also a guy, the name Cupcake stemmed from an April Fool's joke, and it just kinda stuck), I've been smoking analogs for about a year and a half, and I just got my first e-cig yesterday.

I went down to a local 7/11 and picked up an njoy NPro Express, I didn't pick up a pack of cartomizers yet, I wanted to try this, and see how I liked it, before buying a bunch of cartomizers I (possibly) would never use. Well, I'm here on this forum, I think that's enough to show I love it. I'm undecided on if I'm going to fully replace analogs with this yet. Nobody in my family knows I smoke, nor do I want to let them know. My reasons for getting this thing were A) save money and B) I can smoke in my room at night.

My only complaint with this thing is that there's no clearly defined moment, when I know I've had enough, like there is with an analog (read: I'm at the filter and there's no more tobacco left to smoke). Other than that, there are a few other differences that I just like better about analogs. I may keep this just for at home or something, and smoke analogs otherwise, or I might switch to this altogether, I'm not totally decided yet. This thing is also a little harsher on my throat, but I got used to that pretty quickly.

Also, I've read people saying that these cartridges don't last as long as a regular pack of cigarettes, well... I've been using the same cartomizer for 2 days, using it damn near constantly, and it's still going, I mean, it may be out of nicotine, but still has plenty of solution to make vapor with, I don't really know, the Nicotine doesn't really do anything for me, I just like the act of smoking, so I figured if I could do that, without the death, I'd be happy. What's everybody's tell for knowing when their cartridge/cartomizer is done?

Well, I just put on another cartomizer so I can see how much of a difference there is between the one I was using and this one... Wow, what a difference. It must've just been such a gradual change, that I didn't even notice.

I also came up with two more questions.

1) What other cartomizers or atomizers/cartridges can I buy to fit my nPro

2) What do you guys do with your cartomizers and whatnot, after you open them, but before they're done. For example, you have to charge your battery, but your cartomizer is still good. I've been putting the rubber caps back on, and putting them in an old Croft & Barrow box that once held my wallet, using it sort of like a humidor.

Hi Cupcake, welcome.

I think the npro may be an RN4081 model (if I'm wrong someone can jump in and correct me). You can refill the cartomizers that you have-as long as you don't vape them completely dry. Putting the caps back on and saving used cartos until you need them again or can refill them is fine.

glad you like vaping so far- it gets better as you work your way through the learning curve. Good luck and enjoy :)

Welcome to the forum, Cupcake. It is nice to meet you.

You state that you don't know if you want to continue with cigarettes or dump cigarettes for the e-cig. Please be aware that many people use e-cigs and still smoke cigarettes. There is nothing wrong with that and each person needs to make that decision for themselves. I know three people that only use e-cigs when they go to the bars and they smoke the rest of the time. It is what works for them :)

I am not familiar with your style of e-cig (PV) so I can not comment on how it functions or re-fills. CES gave you some info and I'm sure others will chime in with info too.

~~Happy Vaping & Welcome~~

Not alot around for RN4081 but search AZSmokeFree.com and VaporKings.com for Rn4081 and also search for 4081 to pick up anything labeled that way

I think the second has soft-cap blank standard cartomizers and both might have atomizer+carts for the atomizer

I believe you can add juice to the cartos you have. Just take it easy because you probably have an automatic battery and they are easily killed by drips out the bottom of a carto. I think the first store listed above has a manual RN4081 battery and they are sealed on the end.

You could see if you can pop the mouth end cap out of the carto you have. if there is a donut shaped inner seal see if you can carefully pop that out. You should see stuffing. You can drip ejuice into the stuffing. Best to do it when the stuffing is still wet so it spreads well and so you don't singe the stuffing and ruin the taste of the carto.

You can order ejuice lots of places. I use Backwoods Brew, FreedomSmokeUSA, Velvet Vapors. I like a PG/VG blend somewhere around 70pg/30vg though some of my desserty juices are 50/50.

As far as "knowing when you are done" vaping is different than smoking for me. I was a 1.5+ pack/day smoker. I have found that I vape more often than I did smoke but overall take less draws. the same thing that seems like a handicap (not knowing when you should be done; ie cig burnt to the ....) is also an asset. With the cost of cigs now and knowing that putting one out and relighting it later would taste like crap I ALWAYS found time to smoke every one down to nothing. Didnt want to waste money. I now find myself taking a couple puffs and putting the ecig back in my pocket for a while; I don't feel like I have to "finish" it. A major plus in my book. YMMV.

Welcome Cupcake, I'm originally from Jersey also. I started out like you w/Npro until another PV came in the mail. The Npro is a RN4801 as indicated by CES, Dormouse and Kufu Khan (Hi everyone :D). I got some cartomizers from AZSmokefree.com (came in three days after order). I also popped the cap on the originals and did a boiling water clean (check YouTube) and refilled them.

The Npro carts don't seem to have as much eliquid as other prefilled ones, so it's not you. Try getting some type of 510/Riva/eGo PV; these use the more available cartomizers (carts). They also last longer than the RN4801 (Njoy). Hope that helps.
