Hello all!! I first found this site a couple of years ago...and have gotten loads of info from it. FINALLY decided to join :) I have been a pretty heavy smoker for quite a few years. I got my first e-cig two years ago. It was a joye510. I have used the ones from the convenience store and for the life of me just couldn't quit the analogs. Last time I cut down from a 1.5 pad to half a pack a day within a few days. Then I found that the juice was way too strong. This time I am doing it up right. Got a couple different ones and an ego-T. I have disabilities limiting my ability to move around a whole lot...and when I do it is very painful so there isn't much that I can do physically that will keep me busy. I have been waiting on the VA to get me in and taken care of for years now. That old saying "anything that can go wrong will go wrong" definitely applies to my life. But with all the bad I TRY not to let it get me down. Lots of road blocks got in the way but as of right now I am 2 years away from my claim being completed and getting the surgeries I need to get me back on my feet full time again. No way to get to see a VA doctor regularly because I wasn't on active duty for two years. This time around I have to quit. Smoking almost 2 pad is killing me. I got this ego 2 days ago and am down to almost a pack :) Baby steps!!

Congrats. I've been off analogs for nearly 3 months now. I've gone from what was a habit to a new hobby. I had tried e-cigs a few years ago, but they were ones from the convenience store and they really didn't do much for me. Thanks to my son, I tried again not long ago when he passed down his V2 starter kit to me when he moved up to an eGo setup. Since then, we've both moved to more advanced gear and have accumulated a vast array of juices, devices and other goodies. Good luck to you.

Another (honorary) Texan here, checking in.

Congratulations on making the step to quit. So you're smoking half of what you were - I'd say that's a massive win. Once you found a juice you like and a reliable delivery system you feel comfortable with, you can make those other steps to maybe reduce further, if it feels right.

Either way, count the cigarettes you don't smoke, not the ones you do.
Welcome to the forums and good luck.

So sorry you have pain to deal with on top of the other issues. But I'm glad you seem to have a good attitude about it and sure hope things get better. First of all let me say, "Welcome to the forum". There are so many wonderful people here that can help you with any problems and most of all offer loads of support. It is such a hard decision to make. I have smokes for 40 some years and I didn't think I would ever quit. I know it has only been a short time but it feels right this time. I kept smoking and vaping for a good while and then I just started smoking less and vaping more. It got to the point where I just didn't enjoy my cigs as much as I did the flavors in vaping. So I kept on cutting back and by the time I got to 1 real cig a day. I just quit. Just like that. I started feeling better almost immediately. I have order lots of stuff from Fasttech because I am kind of on a budget and they have real good prices. They are in Hong Kong I think but I still get my orders in about a week. I guess my advice would be to just give it a try and take it slow. Enjoy the forum and chat with some new friends. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope to see you around. :)

Thanks y'all!! I've been up since 7 and have only had 2 analogs. Not my normal ones either so they are pretty nasty. Mornings and evenings are harder on me than the middle of the day usually. I don't smoke in the house bc of my dh and kiddos anyways so I've been going out to vape too. That alone seems to make it easier. We will see how the day goes. So far it's not too bad. By now I would have already smoked way more than two.

I haven't tried many of the flavors. I have had chocolate mint, jungle juice, watermelon, peach, and green apple jolly rancher. I like the jungle juice mixed with the green apple the best instead of them separately. I've had 4 analogs so far today. I still want analogs...but it's getting to be less and less. Will likely only smoke half a pack by the time I go to bed. Fixing to make myself a sticker chart to go along with the kiddos bahahahaha!!
