New GGTS

Hi all,
New here, and I just got a SS GGTS and UFS. I have been using them a couple days, spoke to a few folks about advice, and MAN, this UFS is great! I tend to fiddle a lot, so I am trying to hold back on the air inlet and juice controls. LOL

I did have a question .... I like a few brass accents on the GGTS, and the new COV Edition coming out looks great. I have a few things, but mainly need a brass telescoping tube. I saw the one on COV in the parts area, and wonder if they will be back in stock at some time. Also the COV Edition has a brass-colored SS tele tube ... will that be available as a part also?

the brass tube on the CoV edition is the same as the brass telescope available separately. It's not brass-colored SS ;-)

I love the look of the brass, too, is use all the available brass parts on my GGTS, even though they require more frequent polishing to keep looking nice. I don't remember if Imeo has sent or is sending brass parts to CoV at the moment, he'd have to answer that, but spare parts in general will be made available at CoV in the next few days (after all the Penelope pre-orders have shipped) so keep an eye out there just in case

The write up on the COV Edition says the tele tube is SS also ... it looks brass colored to me though. Maybe I am getting/seeing the color wrong. I have another brass APV, so polishing is nothing new. The Navy teaches you well.
The GGTS came with a brass end cap, and top draw cap (?) ... I am not sure if I am getting the names right. I just picked up a brass rethreader and control ring, so once those come, I can get it together and see what else I may need. I guess the old rounded brass button will have to come from the classies.

Yeah, brass buttons will definitely have to come used. I managed to score one of the new flat-top ones when Imeo did a one-off run of them and I love it

I think that bit about the tele is just a mistake in the description, I'm pretty sure it's just brass. Can't confirm as I bought mine with SS tele and got the brass separately later on
EDIT: yep, looks like that part of the description was just copied wholesale from the other one, so probably just an oversight on Bruce's part

Howdy Blu. Good to see ya in the GG forum. I wouldn't go by the pics at COV as many times they are not correct to the item listed. The brass colored tele will be brass and the SS one will be SS.

The old style domed brass button will def have to be from the classies as they are out of production from Imeo.

blu, I'm sure you'll find yourself a brass tele at some point. If after the sale you can't get one either on a GGTS or as a spare part, I could possibly be talked out of my spare one . . . I know what it's like to lust after brass ;-) Can't help you with the other brass parts, though, I've only got one of each

Killjoy - I have a brass bottom cap, a brass rethreader, and a brass adjustable draw cap for the GGTS.
I got a SS Stealth cap, so I think the brass rethreader will look good with that, not a full brass top in Stealth mode, but still a nice accent.
I have a brass air control ring coming for the UFS also, so that will add a touch too.

I have to get everything, put it all together, and see what it looks like. I don't want to go overboard .... just a touch here and there.

So happy that you are enjoying your GGs. Congrats! Brass pops up in the classies from time to time so don't lose hope--you'll get them.

How about the brass connector? They're pretty sharp.
