Understood. You may want to consider getting a small clearomizer for your mom. She'll be able to see how much juice is left in the tank--and there's not filler to get. 2.2 or 2.5 Ω replacement coils will both work. Kanger makes them, they are called Kanger T4 kr808.

Just so I am sure.....these will work with the Halo G6 E-Cigarette batteries?

The threading on the g6 is 808, so that tank should work.

Torque 56 has a reputation with the halo forum as being a pretty good cigarette substitute. I used it for a while, and it's what I probably would've recommended. It's not too sweet or dark; it should be one of the easier ones on the tanks or carts

i definitely agree with sentiment to go with Halo's mini-tanks. that way you can see exactly how much there is and refilling is super easy.

on top of that, they are easy to clean and you can re-use them for a surprisingly long time. you may also consider a couple of extra batteries, or a Triton battery. Cig-a-likes, for all their excellence, tend to have annoyingly short battery life and it will mean slightly less upkeep to rotating out batteries to charge. The mini-tanks and carto's work on the Triton battery, so if you dont want to mess with larger tanks, you wont have too (but you will have the option to upgrade later if you want).

Halo's juices are usually rated for 1 year, and they do have an expiration date on the bottle.

Once you're past your 5 posts, come join us at the Halo forum and meet the gang.

Hi, doctordun. It's great that you are helping out your mom. It is a very loving thing to do, and I applaud you. I had my mother-in-law come live with us, and I can understand the undertaking!

And also great that she has transitioned to an ecig!! You made a good choice to go with the Halo G6. It is a superb cig-a-like system. I'll bet you got the automatic, cause it would be easier to use for an elderly person. And I hope you got the 78mm as opposed to the 65mm. It will last longer between charges. The 78mm is 280mAh while the 65mm is 180mAh. Meaning it should last 50% longer.

You say you got blank cartos and some juice, Torque56. I love that juice. It vapes very clean. I can go 4 or 5 times longer between cleanings with Torque than most other juices. I use tanks that I rinse and soak. You can' do that with a carto, but the Torque will go far in them.

You might consider getting a drip tip or 2. I'm not a fan of the metallic ones Halo sells; they always feel cold and seem to change the flavor somewhat. I like acrylic or glass. And they are easier to deal with than the silicon top plug in the carto.

I heavily suggest you purchase 2 or 3 of the minitanks from Halo. Apologies to a previous poster on this thread, but the minitank cannot be rebuilt or rewicked. But I have rinsed mine and reused them without problem. They can last a long time. The trick is NOT to let them run dry. Actually, this is true for almost every tank or carto. (You can't use other drip tips on these minitanks, btw)

If Mom is ok with the appearance, I would get a few in different colors. They are only $4 and they outperform the cartos. Better flavor, better vapor, longer lasting, and you can easily see when to refill. Do make sure the tip is pressed in or it will leak. It doesn't screw in, it's just a press fit.

What nicotine level did you get? How much did Mom smoke? If she is happy and satisfied with her nic level, can I suggest the tobacco sample pack from Halo. Mom's taste buds will be coming back and she might enjoy the variety. Another plus for the minitanks. After rinsing and drying them (tap all the water out!) you can change flavors. That isn't really possible with the cartos.

And if you do buy more juice from Halo, here is the 10% off juice code you can use at checkout

ECFTEN2014

And do check out the Halo section. There's lots of advice on the G6 and plenty of friends to help.

I hope this transition for all of you works out well. We are all pulling for you and Mom!

I did order the 78mm batteries.
Nicotine level that I ordered was 18mg/ml. She smokes 1/2 to 1 pack a day.

What is the procedure to rinse and soak a mini tank?
Do you use just water?
Is this only if you are changing the flavor of the juice?

You can use hot water. Unflavored denture cleaner also works. Even if you only use one flavor juice, the heating coils will eventually get a build up of gunk on them. You can use the denture cleaner as per the instructions on the box, but make sure you rinse the tanks thoroughly.

Vodka or pure grain alcohol can be used to soak them as well. Don't use rubbing or isopropyl alcohol, though. These are not safe for ingestion.

I would rinse it out every 3 or 4 tankfuls. Your mom will tell if the flavor or vapor production diminishes. I would try to keep a tank dedicated to one flavor. You are trying to rinse out remnants of burnt juice, or almost burnt juice in the wicks and coil. If you ever notice the same juice is darker in the tank than what you are adding, it's time to rinse.

The vodka or pure grain alcohol tends to evaporate faster, getting the tank ready to go a bit quicker. Multiple tanks alleviate this problem.

(and everyone says cheap vodka. Pffft, you are only using a bit. My Stoli does well!) :toast:
