what's up everyone...just started vaping to quit smoking and i haven't had a cigarette in 8 days. almost fell off today while fishing, but held strong.

i got my first e-cig off a groupon from vapor zone and loving it. it's their pro model which is basically an ego t. already upgraded to their "platinum" tank which is basically a kanger protank 2. experienced some burnt taste so i've been lurking and figured i may as well join the forum.

anyhow, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself

Welcome to ECF.
Be sure have some high nic juice around and give yourself extra kick when you need it. When you are initially trying to get off analog, that should the main goal. Don't count how many juice you are vaping or how many coils you are burning. Do whatever is necessary to stay off analog for at least a month. Let your body re-adjust and get a solid start. After that, there are lots and lots of cool stuff to discover.
Good luck and stay strong!

looking around...any reason for doing mods such as the provari?

ProVari is very good mod and will last you years and years. However, if current setup works for you, you should stay on it. If you want to try something new, try to find more juice flavors. For me, juice flavor was the key in staying off analog during the initial month. When I started to muck around with the mods, it was hard to stay away from analog.

Depends...if you jumped on the iPhone bandwagon, chances are you'll jump on the Provari bandwagon as well lol. Personally, I'm not a firefighter and I don't need all the bells and whistles, it's just not for me. Not saying you will or won't want one, but make sure you do lots of homework before you spend that kind of cheese on half a mod. I purchased all 4 of my mechanical mods for the price of a provari, but naturally the choice is yours.

Bottom line: Whatever keeps you off analogs is what works best.

Welcome to the forum!

Devices like the provari are variable voltage and have replaceable batteries. You can select the voltage for a deeper, warmer vape and the batteries last longer.

I'd get accustomed to you're current set-up, see what you like and don't like, find some flavors of liquid you like and read the forum.

If you want to go that route, people here are happy to offer suggestions. Congrats on 8 days smoke-free!!

the ticket for me for sticking with it today was just hitting the vape and moving down the bank...unfortunately, the guy kept following me all day haha

strong will, plus i'm in nursing school and smoking is a big no no :x

Yup. Chain vaping works. Visit your local B&M and try as many flavor as possible. Finding awesome flavor is so much more rewarding than buying any extra gear. Good luck with your nursing school!

also, i'm only vaping 6mg, so its more willpower than anything

thanks nuchuga...i'm just down the road in san diego

Nice. But you shouldn't force yourself into a bad situation. I would actually recommend to have 6, 12, and 18mg around. Only few puffs of stronger nic could actually prevent you from chain vaping. I started with mostly 18 and few 12. After few months, it was mostly 12 and few 18.
You might know, since learning medicine, nicotine itself is nothing much different from caffeine. So, gradual reduction of nic level might be better option, if you get stuck.

Anyway, do whatever works for you to stay off analog!
