Most brands of e-cigs sold at convenience stores are relatively proprietary, or as proprietary as they can make them by keeping you in the dark. There is no way to tell what models they may be unless you have the models to compare them to. The price you paid is very reasonable for a disposable, if you like it consider it a gateway into e-cigs and have a look at the forum suppliers list (found at the top of the forum page) You can find models there that are well supported andknown to the people of the forum and we will be able to help you with an questions about them.

Ecigs only mimic smoking. You get the nic and feel of a real cig but not the same as smoking.

Don't base your experience on the 7-11 model you just bought. There are a bunch more models out there that are alot better to give you a better experience. I would recomment getting a riva or ego kit. Both can be purchased at liberty-flights.com. More vapor, throat hit, and flavor are produced by these versus what you already have.

Welcome! If you are thinking about quitting smoking, e-cigs are a great way to do it. They are healthier, cheaper, and tastier than the real thing.

The best e-cigs are available online. On the advice of a fellow vaper I started with a Kr808D-1 and I'm quite happy with it. Joye 510 is the most popular. Both are shaped like cigarettes. They run $30 - $50 for a basic starter kit.

Bigger battery versions like the eGo, iGo, Go-Go, and a bunch of others, will give you more battery life, and better performance. They don't look like cigarettes (more like e-cigars) but last for 6-8 hrs between recharges. $60 - $80 for a starter kit.

Really they are all just ways to vaporize e-juice - made of nicotine, propolyene glycol and/or vegetable glycerine, and flavoring. Its the magic stuff and it comes in hundreds of flavors.

e-cigs aren't like the real thing, they are much MUCH better.

I purchased one of these VPUR things at 7-11 as well about 10 days ago I guess.

Now I'm very new at all this, but I'm also not an idiot. It was an "experiment" to see if I could truly live with the concept. And $18 seemed reasonable before spending upwards of $50-$60 on a good unit and some juice to me. [Please note : they are charging $10 for 2 refill "cartridges" (cartomizers) also....]

Let me just say "Buyer Beware". The first unit I had produced NO vapor what so ever. No flavor either, basically it felt like I was sucking on a straw. Yes, I fully charged the battery. :)

So I took it back, to exchange it or get my money back. As the clerk reached into the plexiglass box to retrieve another unit for me the foil package he pulled out next was still sealed but TOTALLY empty. Talk about "quality control"...

The next one had all the parts in it. So I took it home, and charged it (again). This unit produced, well, I guess you could call it vapor. I'd tried Smoke Anywhere stuff at the mall before, (yeah, I know also a rip-off), and this thing produced maybe 1/4th the vapor of the SA product. There was also some sort of flavor. It lasted a few (maybe 4) hours before it ran out of juice.

In the end the experiment paid off I think, I now know I can live with the charging and the cartridges and refilling (I think) and all that. I also learned that you guys (and gals) aren't lying, buy extra batteries/atomizers etc etc.

Next week I'll be taking the plunge and placing my order(s) for an actual real PV.

TL;DR : Avoid the VPUR unless you just want to play with it for a day or two.

I bought a Njoy from 7-11, and almost gave up on the idea of an electronic cigarette. The fact is they are nothing like a good e-cig. I bought a ego tank starter kit as my first real pv, and I'm looking to buy a mod type at some point. I am finally saying goodbye to analog cigarettes. Good luck in your search. The are a lot of helpful people here, and useful information. also there are a lot of helpful videos on you tube to help with your search.

Oh yeah, I'm either going to go with a Joye eGo or that Riva 510 (eGo thingy) on Liberty Flights. My experiment didn't turn me off at all, in fact I expected I was buying inferior hardware.

And yes, there is almost too much information here. :)

I'm bumping this old thread back up for one interesting tid-bit.

The battery on these is "sort-of" a 510.

I've know idea what it actually is but 510 attys and cartos fit. They are a little "crooked" or "loose" but they work.

I've been using the one I bought as a back-up battery. Using Boge LR (2.0) cartos and interestingly enough I can't kill the damn thing. I get maybe 1.5 hours out of it, and it gets hot. But it still takes a charge, and keeps on working.

Sorry typo meant to say not bad instead of something similar to denying fish!

Hi my first post
I have just about every battery there is with juices and carts etc. I don't know if 7/11 stopped selling the VPUR for awhile and reintroduced it but the kit I just bought was $17.99 and refills are still $10 for two.

It worked out of the pack for about an hour then I recharged it and it lasted awhile. The flavor was as close to Marlboro I have found. I have used many juices and prefixed carts and from what I have read from juice producers their flavours are tobacco without the taste of combustion (burning tobacco) this unit to me actually tastes very similar.

Also, instead of the LED in the battery it sticks out the side which I thought was strange until I realized it was easy to cover up when I wanted to be covert about using it, something I have had to do more often than not because people don't understand what an ecig is.

The amount of vapor is decent and the flavour to me was quite good.
