New guy, one month analog free...

Greetings,

I'm Spike from Saginaw Michigan. A month ago, my girlfriend and I were walking through a local mall and we dropped by a kiosk where some folks were selling e-cigs. He's a statewide seller and has many stores in our state. We tried some samples of different strengths and were sold. I bought us a couple of kits and we've been tobacco free ever since. I started vaping around the usual smokers outside at work and at least 10 of them have converted as well. After watching me puff on these a few times, my 70 yr old mother had me take her to this place and help her figure out what she needed to get started, and as of today, she has converted to e-cigs as well. I've been reading some posts here, trying to expand my vaping knowledge, and have decided that I'm going to refill my own carts. Save some cash. One of the guys I converted at work has already started doing it and has given me some good tips that he got from another guy who has been vaping for some time. I'm reading, watching vids, and taking it all in. There is a lot of knowledge here and I intend to learn from those that have already done it and hopefully pass on some gained wisdom one day to others as time goes on....

Good for you Spike. Congrats & welcome....also nice to see someone else from Michigan. BTW..say 'congrats' to your mom for me. My daughter (who quit smoking years-ago) got me going. I didn't even know what the heck was in the bag she gave me; never saw or heard of them before. KUDDOS to you!!

I am new to this to. Smoked a disposable and decided this could work. After lurking in this forum for a week, I just ordered a Joye starter kit.
It is great to hear of all these success stories.

Nice! Congrats! I have found that watching videos is really helpful too. So much new lingo it's nice when you can see it and hear it!

I have become a sort of vaping evangelist as well! (Saw another member that called it that, so clever) I just want to tell every smoker I see..."Wait check this out! I have discovered a better way!!!" But I have only been converting my close friends and fam haha

Congratulations Spike. I'm almost 70 (a year away) and an ego c upgrade with cartomizers is a good setup for her... anyone really. I use a passthrough at home (1000 or 650 mah) and a 650 mah when out. You're a super son.

Congratulations and as a new vaper myself it's a fantastic feeling to find a viable way of kicking the nasties. This forum is a great reinforcement to keep it going.

Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully the weather will break and we can get some warmth and sunshine soon. The winter in MI is getting old. It's only been a month and I'm feeling a lot better since quitting cigs. If I'd known about these sooner, I'd have done it long ago...

Hi scneck...it amazing how these things actually work....the dealer here has stuff that's all 4081 based so that's what I have....I like it but never had a clue as to what was available out there until i started looking lately...I'm sure I'll be trying different things as I go.......

These people are really nice...I met the guy who owns all the MI stores today at the mall...He found out how many people I've turned on to this and he gave me 10 free carts....makes me almost feel bad that I'm gonna start some DIY stuff in the near future...
