hey, how did you set up that sig?...does one have to be a paying subscriber to set up a sig?

Spike,
After 20 or so posts an option will appear in your settings etc. If you want the box that states how long you have stopped - click on a box you like and it takes you to a new screen to fill it in, then you copy and paste it to your sig setting. (think that's right, a while since I did it).

Hope this helps.

Hi Spike and welcome. The influence you have is awesome. Congrats to you and all the others you've helped.

You should see what's available online now. Cuz the mall kiosks are expensive and usually don't have good equipment.

This is a inexpensive kit I recommend to people starting out on a budget.
eGo 1100mah CE4 Kit

Thanks again for the advice. I did some research and just placed an order for it...:)

Thanks...I figured it out when the option became available right after my 20th post...lol...

Congratulations on quitting. As soon as my juice gets here, I will begin my journey, too. ECF has so much useful info and members. I'm glad I was referred in by a friend.

I agree...I was just looking for e-cig info on the web and bumped into this place...who knew that such a wealth of help and knowledge was available?...I had no idea..

Great stuff Spike! It's a hard conversion to make at first but after the first week or so it gets easier, you've already passedthat so kudos! Refilling carts is MUCH cheaper, but taste diminishes. I've found that having new fresh carts on hand for when this happens makes me a generally happier person all around.

It's fun talking with the analog smokers about this, I've converted many myself. Typically people are very interested in it, want to taste it, and feel that it can easily replace the old smelly sticks. I've had the best luck when asking friends to hold out on smoking until they really feel the need, THEN try the ecig so they can truly feel the effects.

Big Congratz from Las Vegas! I get excited for anyone who quits smoking and can start Vaping. This is actually my very first post. lol I've been smoke free for a week!! YAY! I've been an avid smoker for over 35yrs. I tried everything to quit, but I just couldn't do it. Mentally, I was sickened at myself for not being able to quit. I've lived in and out of hospitals supporting my father due to his respiratory/heart failure. Despite his severe difficulty breathing, I'd still walk outside the hospital to smoke that cig. As fate would have it, I was introduced to Vaping by a gentleman with lung cancer who was moved into my fathers room for blood transfusion caused by his chemo and radiation treatments. A few days later, I got my father home who now has to live on oxygen tanks and nebulizer for the remainder of his life. Yet what do I do? I sit on the other side of the house puffing on that cig. My quilt took over and I raced to the E-Cig store. I was willing to try anything. The clerk was so friendly and comforting, I bought the kit he recommended. I got home, tossed my cigs and have not had a single desire to pick up another cig. The day after I began, my sister sat a foot away smoking my brand of cig. I sat there in amazement, as I had no desire for her cig. Actually, I watched the thickened smoke in the air along with the nasty smell and felt total relief. Now, I preach to other smokers, including store clerks and/or anyone who will listen. lol "It's amazing to finally be Free!!!"

Hey Eric...the funny thing is that the conversion was amazingly easy for me...once I was able to vape away and get the nicotine I wanted, the urge to grab an analog went bye bye....I started out with 18 mg, but realized after a couple of days that it wasn't cutting it and moved up to 24 mg which turned out to be perfect.

Most of the people I talked to about it were the usual suspects at work that I see outside smoking in the designated areas. They see me vaping (still gotta go outside at work, even with e-cigs) and start asking me about it. What sells it is that these people know that I was smoking anywhere between a pack to 2 packs a day....I suppose that they figured if something like this is working for me, it ought to work for them....lol...same with my Mom...she knows how I smoked so seeing me with these and zero analogs since is all the proof needed...works better than any words can...

Thanks...my GF used to live right outside of Vegas for a couple years and worked there...her parents still do..I know what you mean about excitement. When people I see every day suddenly pull out an e-cig and start vaping, I know its as a result of them seeing me do it and that makes me feel pretty good... Congrats on ditching the analogs...it made me sick as well to know what I was doing to myself...paying good money to kill myself on them...smelling like an ashtray...second hand smoke around the kids...all that stuff....the lack of urge to smoke an analog is really something...people who smoke really need to know how well these really work...kudos to you for spreading the word!...

Congrats Spike making the big switch. Once you have the mind set of not going back, it all easy after that. Also way to go on converting others that you care about.

Thank you very much...I cant see any reason to ever go back to analogs...nasty stuff...converting others is easy...all they have to do is see someone who they know has smoked for many years stop on a dime and take up vaping instead with no looking back...it sells itself...lol
