Welcome to the forum. It's a good thing to do your research - there are sure a lot of options available when you want to start vaping and stop smoking.

I was never off, only on, smoking heavily for over 40 years. I am still stunned at how painless this process has been for me. I never thought I could/would quit smoking. And now I have, for over 2 months. Amazing!

I've heard good things about the itaste, but I began with a simple Kanger Evod starter kit, and it did the trick for me. Here's a link to a reliable vendor with free shipping. If you use the code ECF at checkout, you get 10% off, making it about $30. It comes with everything you need to get started except the juice. 2 batteries, 2 tanks, and a charger.

Good luck to you with whatever you choose.

Welcome aboard! You found the right place, for sure. I have an itaste MVP 2.0 and have been very happy with it. I also have 2 ego type batteries, along the lines of what Bugga told you about. I use those for my carry arounds at work, though my MVP goes too, just stays in my purse.

itaste makes something along the lines of an ego, just more squarish, and is pretty cool, just shorter battery life. It's the itaste vv3.

Good luck and happy vaping.

I would start with something cheap to see if it's going to work for you. You might not want to spend a lot of money when you don't know and it might not work for you. You can pick up an eGo Twist for around $30 in most places. Then if you do like it and it's working, you could step up to something more to your liking. Or stay with the eGo, or whatever you start with. I hope it works for you.

Amazing how easy it was for me to quit analogs using the EVODs. Things to think about are:
1: Always carry a backup (even if a disposable e-cig), batteries go dead and attys do fail
2: Your taste buds will change, so will affect your eliquid choices
3. You will still be treated as a smoker by MOST people, so don't push it
4. If you drink alcohol, some flavors are not strong enough to taste: find a strong and save it for those weak times when "the voices" are loudest!

Good luck!

The Lab
Been on and off analogs for 20+ years.

Tried all the Rx options, ready to just quit quitting. My brother let me sample his itaste a week ago, seems like something I could try.

Slowly sponging all I see/read....
A lot of people have started with an evod kit, myself included, but it won't perform as well as the itaste vv3 even. In fact I've been usin my old Evod all day (on a VV3). Double Evod kits are available from about 30 bucks. Just go for it and upgrade later like the guy said. You won't regret it:) Just make sure you get a juice you like

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

I think I've decided to order a mini ego/EVOD kit. I really wanted something discreet and simple, this seems the way to go.

Now I need juice... Who has or where can I order cheap sample packs or small sample bottles to test flavors? My only experience with vaping was a vanilla/coffee flavor that was amazing. If I could find a juice with even 10% of that flavor I'd be happy.

there may be better deals out there. i would stick with flavors i know i liked and still not expect them to taste exactly like "my Moms banana puddin' ". good luck
