Hi everyone. My name's Jon, but Data4 has been an online handle for the last 12 years or so, so I use it everywhere I go. I just purchased a Smoking Everywhere GOLDone at a kiosk 2 weeks ago, and thus became my entry point to vaping. Yes, like most who have seen the light, I found out after the fact that I was seriously ripped off. Ah well... lesson learned, right? The damage was $130 for the basic kit with 1 battery and atomizer. Yeah, ouch.
The upside is twofold. First, I've since learned of the many other better models available at a fraction of the cost, and which come with extra batteries, atomizers, etc. Second, I've found out that the model is actually a RN4081, which isn't bad per se... just a terrible value at what I paid for it. Being that this is my first and only e-cig so far, I can only compare what I get from it to a real cigarette. For the most part, it replaces my analogs. Decent throat hit and a good amount of vapor. Probably something to be considered a decent entry level e-cig, if an entry level price was paid for it.
Anyway, I was a pack-a-day analog smoker for some 18 years, and since getting my e-cig, I've smoked MAYBE 5 of them in the last 2 weeks. This is due mainly to getting a craving while my single battery charges. I'm amazed and even happy to say that the analogs now taste like complete crap, and I am unable to get through an entire one when I've had to resort to them. Puff enough to take care of the psychological and nicotine fix and out it goes.
I've lurked here for the past week and a half or so after being pointed here by another vaper who is a member of another community I belong to. I've learned a ton of info and continue to learn as I delve deeper into older posts. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's contributed here for all to see.
Also, Totally Wicked tobacco flavor rocks, and I've got a DSE 901/b on the way.
