Hello All,

I found these forums in January and have been lurking. I decided to sign up and finally post.

My story starts similar to many others. I smoked about a pack of cigarettes a day for about 18 years. One of my friends showed up at one of my parties with an Ego Twist and I gave it a try and decided a week later to get my own. After picking up my first setup of Ego-Twist w/ iSmoka clearomizer and some 12mg juice, I quit smoking regular cigarettes immediately. Since that day I have yet to touch a regular cigarette. It has been 78 days. I truely love smoking (now vaping) I love the filling of my lungs with warm smoke/vapor and then the deep exhale, there is something very katharic about it.

I have kind of an addictive personality and things picked up from there. And after being on the e-cig for 2 weeks, I decided to skip the middle upgrades and go directly to the mechanical mods and sub ohming. So I bought a Nemesis Clone w/ a Kayfun Lite Clone and Patriot Clone. After my first 15ml bottle of juice ran out (about the 3week-1month timeframe), I immediately switched to 0mg nicotine juice.

I would carry around my Nemesis w/ Kayfun Lite setup with me every day, and use that to satisfy the habit of smoking. After another 3 weeks or so. I have stopped carrying Kayfun Lite clone with me and pretty much don't carry any setup with me throughout the day. I am only vaping at home and using my dripping atomizers. I would like to believe that vaping isn't a "habit" to me anymore as there is no physical addiction holding me to it. I like to think of it as more of a hobby now. During the evening pull out my mods and some juice and take a couple toots here and there. I kind of treat it like using a hookah, but no smoke just vape.

I am never going back to smoking, but now I have to try to do something about curbing my need to buy mods and rdas lol. Right now I have the following.

Mods-
Nemesis Clone
Atomo v1 Clone
JD Tech Stingray Copper Black
V3tronix Flip
RJ Mods Turtleship v1 w/ Special Edition sleeve
Stealthvapes.co.uk Clone V1
Waiting on SimonMods Copper Mod to release.

Atomizers -
Kayfun light clone
Patriot Clone
Engima RDA
Stillare RDA
Pre-ordered Quasar Copper RDA
Pre-ordered Zenith v2 Copper RDA
Pre-ordered APO RDA

Welcome, and congrats! I too was a long time smoker, however I vape fairly consistently during the day while at work. I think I vape more while at home, mostly because I have 40+ flavors to choose from so it's easy to make any changes I want. I too went heads first into mechanicals rather quickly, and glad I did as that gave me the satisfaction I was looking for to quit smoking. Keep it up!

Thanks. I have a bunch of flavors at home also. The biggest thing I wanted to do was break the habit of doing vaping/smoking all the time. Doing it during the evening or every couple of evenings so it is more like hookah, has been a nice break from having a habit.

Yep, you have it bad too. ;) But isn't it a wonderful hobby? Glad you finally started posting and welcome to the forum. :)

It is a great hobby. I have really thrown myself into the world of sub-ohming and cloud chasing. Learning about the electrical circuits and ohm's law. And then tinkering with different builds. It is really mentally stimulating to me and challenges me.

The lowest I have went so far was a .09 ohms with a 26gauge kanthal parallel dual coil build. I did the math and it was safe to vape (which I did for 1 evening and then I took it apart). But vaping at 152 watts was a thrill. I know it suprassed the continuous 30 amps of my Sony VTC4's but it was still within the limits of the pulse firing 60 amps of the battery.
