New guy with a question on 510 atty's

Hi everyone, I am the proud new owner of a joye 510 (after being highly disappointed with the smoking everywhere scam). I've been takin a look around and I noticed that there are some 510 atty's that have a wide gold band around the top and some (like mine) that have a very thin gold band around the top. I think I read somewhere, but can't remember where, that there is a new and old version of the 510 atty. Which is which, and should I buy one over the other?

Freak--do not worry about all the whistles and bells, both 510 atomizers function the same I have found. Both are very good performers.

the only wide ring I have seen if from TW, I don't have those, but the one from 24mg Liquid - XHIGH - www.goodprophets.com are very good, after 6 weeks the first one work as the first day

I got some of the wide band gold from eastmall.net and my originals have a thin band. Both seem to function the same.

As far as I know there was only one variation to the 510 atty that was different from the rest other than cosmetics - the batch that innovapor got called 'new attys' ;-) At one point in their dropdown you could get the 'classic' - thin gold band, 'titan' - wide gold band, and the 'new atty' which was supposed to and perhaps does have 3x the puffs as the others. The problem was that the 'new attys' were a tad oversized and no 510 cartridge fit - some so that if you just turned the ecig upside down the cart fell off. Some were just very loose. The 'solution' was to get 901 cartridges but only one version of them - the "0" type (vs. the "D" type - referring to the shape of the cart top) worked. I have 4 of the 'new attys' and some 901 "0" type flat tips that fit snuggly. They work fine and look rather well built but I haven't lost an atty in 3 months so I really can't vouch for their longevity.

I'm pretty sure, innovapor dropped the line but they still mention it on their $30 starter kit blurb, but I'd check with Noel or Mark or Millie if you were looking to get that, which I assume you are not ;-)

Otherwise, all are the same except for the various bands that various vendors have - dietsmokes have the 'red scorpion' and the 'white tie' versions where you have red or white where the wide gold band is on Janty, TW and a few others. Some of those are marked TAWA some are marked "janty" only and the only difference there is that the TAWA which means throw away... something - ie. without warranty, whereas the one's marked Janty have a 6 month? warranty. Same atty though, says Parked at dietsmokes.
