If you have all the tools needed , you'r all set, those boxes are easy as 123 to build and use, only recommendation i can make is don't use hot glue..... it just doesn't do it. Get some JB QUIK epoxy, it needs to cure a little before use (you can still use it after 5-6 minutes but it will smell pungent because of the epoxy) Especially if you want to keep your connector alignment straight.

and then drop a post in the modders forums !!

Have fun mate !

Use protected batteries or those high drain AW IMR batteries (but only charge the AW ones in low ma chargers that are acceptable for charging them). I have an Ultrafire dual charger for 14500's and 10440's and someone on ECF that charger is low enough ma to charge AW IMR's too.

I have a 1 battery box - I charge both of my batteries and stick the one I don't need in a little plastic battery box (cheap on Ebay - search 4 AA plastic case - those should hold 14500 or 10440) or the little ballistic nylon keychain battery case that Lighthound sells. That way when one battery's charge runs out, you will know where to find the other(s)! Then recharge the one that ran out. I have a box mod that uses one 14500 and I only own 2 of the batteries so far.

I use Boge cartomizers on mine and I lay the mod on it side edge when not vaping - that way the carto can't leak at all and I will be less likely to clumsily knock it over (like I did once already, cracking my pretty clear blue box mod - but just a tiny crack)

If you bought a kit and have to build your box - I have no clue. But Madvapes has a mod forum
http://www.madvapemods.com/

I would like to build one some day. I used to solder stuff (timidly) - I made a little synthesizer kit and a reverb thing once.

The most important hint , I can give is take apart the connector ( just push out the center ) and soldier the positive wire , otherwise , you will melt , or distort the little rubber gasket . You may as well soldier on the negative wire , to the outside of the connector , while you have it out . Then re-assemble , and put into box .

Congrats on your purchase, Roaddogg. I have built several of those kits for myself, friends, and family, and I still use a 3AA box with 2 batts in parallel for all day vaping joy (at least until I started buying dual-coil cartos)

I will second Illuminateu's advise on the adhesive. Hot glue does not hold well enough. Standard epoxy takes too dang long. One-Minute epoxy holds strong and sets quick. I haven't used the JB, but can tell you the Loctite brand works great.

A little scotch tape is handy during the build as well. Tape over the small hole by the battery connector (the epoxy can leak out when you apply the liberal amount required to hold the connector and protect your wiring) I also hold the button and LED in place with the tape until the epoxy sets.

Somebody must be yanking your chain. Cells with a higher discharge rating can also be charged at a higher rate.

Nominal Voltage : 3.7V
Capacity : 600mAH
Lowest Discharge Voltage : 2.50V
Standard Charge : CC/CV ( max. charging rate 1.5A )
Cycle Life : > 500 cycles
Max. continuous discharge rate : 8C

I doubt if anyone has a charger that is even close to a 1.5A charging rate.

If you have AW IMR's (great batteries) likely 14500 to fit a box mod, you have no worries. :)

The size of the battery and the make / model makes the difference, each will have it's own max charge / discharge amps. The bigger the battery the more likely it has a larger C rating (how fast you can charge / discharge), and the better the chemistry (LiMN = good) the faster you can charge / discharge. (more amps)

As the vet said
i don't think trustfire actually makes any IMR/ LiMN batteries
and 10440 is a smaller battery to begin with, so less likely to take a fast charge.

Charging at a lower amp won't hurt anything, just take a little bit longer. :)
