Hi, shogon. Welcome! Glad you like the Triton.

Just to be clear, we're talking about the regular 900mAh batter (not the VV).

All of the Triton Regular batteries should put out the same voltage, based on their Lithium Ion technology. Someone with a G6 and a voltmeter can verify this, but ALL should be the same curve, from the smallest G6 to the 1300.

The first 5 to 10 hits are a higher voltage, but it levels off after that and runs from about 3.9 to 3.7 until the last 5% of the discharge, which falls off a lot. There was a cool chart BigBen posted, but I can't locate it at the moment.

What might be happening is coincidence. Are you using the same coils from the orig kit? Have you been cleaning, soaking the coils? Perhaps a dry burn would help, followed by another good rinse. There are other threads here describing this.

It might just be time for another pack of coil heads.

Let us know how you do with it.

And what's your flavors? I am Prime15, and Malibu with a bit of Belgian Cocoa...

And guess what? You are now a Halon!!!!:toast:

... This is with new coils and full tanks.

(How did I miss that?)

Get a multitester and check out the voltages. And the resistances of the new tanks. Does it only happen with the 900 and not with a fully charged 400? Multitesters are under $7 at Harbor Freight and is a needed tool for vapers, IMHO.

Other than that, I'm stumped, as a lith bat can only put out just so much voltage due to it's chemistry.

Thanks for the reply. I've done this with 3 wicks on three different coils. One was a coil that came with the starter kit that I had cleaned once. The other two were new coils from a 5 pack. I do believe all three times were off the first few hits so the higher voltage makes sense.

I have had the pleasure of vaping Tribeca, Torque 56, Prime, and just recently Midnight Apple. I stuck with the tobacco flavors while I was quitting the cigs, which were all great, but now I'm passed that, I'm looking for more flavorful juices. Midnight Apple reminds me of those green apple blowpops.lol I freakin love it.

Proud to be a Halon!

Just happens with the 900. Never with the 400 or 650

Before I had my VV, i knew to hit something more tolerant to higher voltages, like the prime or torque. The sweeter things wait till the battery calms down a little, Like Belgian.

But really, a multi tester is a very useful tool. A good autorange one from Sears is about $25. I have had mine for years. Essential tool for me.

One day, I'll make and post a video on Vaping and Multitester and show how easy it is to use.

Dave hit the nail on the head with this one! I had the same problem, but it calmed down after a few hits. The taste might stick around a while, but it will go away!

Welcome to the halo nation!

Thanks. You guys are freakin awesome.
That's great news. It's been killing me with a badass new battery and not using it.lol

That happened to me when I was new to the triton. Not sure why it doesn't do it now, maybe the batterys have a little wear on.
At least you don't have to worry about lighters, if your running low on the "nails" and that nasty yellow stain on your fingers!

Another possibility is not enough juice was wicked up after the fresh fill on top of the higher voltage of a fresh off the charger battery. After I fill a fresh tank and clean/new head I make sure I tilt the tank down so the juice is on the wicks and let it set a few minutes on it's side. Then take some dry hits without firing the battery, this helps pull juice up on the wicks. HTH
