After much reading here, I took the dive and ordered a Joye 510, which should hopefully arrive Wed.

I get my cigs on a reservation and they were pushing an e-cig. I really debated. After all, on the rez I was spending $30 per carton (Native Lights) and they were asking $40 for this e-cig. I decided to go for it. I've wanted to stop smoking for so long but just couldn't do it. I started when I was 16 (am 50 now). I've noticed that I'm edging up to 1-1/2 packs per day in the last few months. Enough is enough.

Anyway, back to the e-cig. The first day was great and as long as the thing was working, I didn't even want a cig. However, the battery lasted maybe 45 minutes at a time and it took around 2-3 hours to recharge the thing :(. I called the rez this morning and complained. They told me to bring it back tomorrow and they will refund my $40. That was really nice of them to do that.

Though this particular e-cig was a bomb, it gave me a trial run and I'm sold! I can't wait for my kit to arrive in a few days and am sure I'll have lots of questions for y'all. You are the best!

Say goodbye to the stink....goodbye to the ashes....goodbye to knowing they're killing me....HELLO to the wonderful world of vaping!! :D

Welcome Ciara!! And you can look forward to the above benefits and more :) You become a walking germicidal air freshener with a potentially tasty tongue and lips who can run up stairs and exercise like they couldn't before as smokers. And you get to try all the wonderful flavors ;) Happy happy vaping and congrats on your decision to make the switch and give it another go after a bummer first device :w00t:

Welcome to the forum! I bought a 510 and have gone through most of the learning curve and have been smoke free for a month and a half or so. It took me awhile to give up giving in to cravings, but as time has gone by, it has gotten easier and easier. I have already saved a lot of money and my lung capacity is greatly improved. So stick with it, and you will make it! Congrats on your decision to give up the analogs!

Now step up to the Tornado or Ego which is an awesome battery and made for the 510 system. Stuff is somewhat interchangeale. You can use the charger on it, ect.

I got mine on Friday and luving it. Buy the batt in the 5 pack and save too or get the whole starter kit then you'll have two interchangeaboe systems.

:)

Wow! Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone (I'm not surprised, however....you all rock!

This is just wrong.....I ordered my 510 about 4 hours ago. Shouldn't it be here by now?? :p

I can't wait to take this crummy e-cig back to the rez and get my $40 back. This thing has four cartridges. I was told that each one was about the same as 2 packs of "analogs" (ha, love that!). Uhh, no way...more like 2 cigs. I only got the thing yesterday and all 4 carts are dead dry. Good grief! Something tells me that they don't want anyone to really stop smoking. Sadly, they'll succeed if they push their lousy e-cig.

Have a great evening everyone!
