Hi! I have smoked over half my life and I have dabbled in ecigs. My brother has been my main supplier of products. I have decided that I want to quit smoking completely and vape and hopefully quit that as well. I seem to have misplaced my ecig and now I need to buy a new one.

My problem is, I want it relatively soon. I don't want to order internationally and have to wait 3 weeks. I'm willing to pay a bit more to get everything I need faster.
My lost ecig had a Protank 3 and just a junk battery from an ecig I bought at smoker friendly. It worked and I especially liked the tank.

My question is (I hope it's okay to post this here...) where can I obtain a proper set up without paying a lot and without waiting a long time? I'm afraid to buy on ebay because most of the components are advertised as being name brand when they really are not. I'd rather not go into a vape store because they have super inflated prices. I can't afford to pay $70 for a new system when I can buy the exact same thing online for 1/3 of that amount.

I liked the protank 3 but I'm willing to try something else as well. I just need something that doesn't leak. I'm at a loss as to what battery to order.

Help! Please and thanks :)

May I recommend Mt. Baker Vapor? They are not the cheapest, but they send out very quickly! And if you use code 'vaporfrombaker' you'll get a discount. Wide selection of products (I like the itastevv) and if you want to try some of their juice, they have a huge variety and a big following. The juice is not "the top" but it's good, well priced, and they have a zillion flavors.
Good luck to you! I'm so happy I don't smoke anymore!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Here are some possible options for you to consider:

A variable v/w (twist/spinner) battery is usually recommended over a "non" variable v/w battery. It allows you to adjust your settings to get a better "vape". Some flavors taste better at higher voltages than 3.7v

1. JoyeTech Ego-C Twist
2. Vision Spinner
3. Innokin iTaste vv v3
4. Innokin iTaste MVP v2

The first 3 are fall into the "ego style" category of battery (with variable voltage). They range in size from 600mah to 1300mah. The higher the mah the longer the battery will last between charging. The 4th one is a step up from an "ego style" battery in that it is a smaller box mod with a very big battery (2600mah). It will last many vapers a whole day before it needs recharging. It is probably one of the most popular batteries for someone upgrading from an "ego style" battery. Some vapers choose to buy one "ego style" battery as a backup and also purchase the MVP for their main battery.

I suggest buying only name brand Joyetech Twist or Vision Spinner ego batteries. BTW, "ego" is merely a type of battery, not a brand name. Buying "generic" ego batteries is always going to be hit or miss...mostly miss.

You will need to purchase a tank with the first three on the above list. The mini Nautillus, mini Aerotank or regular size Aerotank (all made of glass & all have adjustable airflow control) are very popular. The MVP Kit comes with a tank but it is not glass.

Here is a great resource regarding "tank cracking" eliquid by ECF member Baditude: Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Greetings and Welcome to the ECF I would also say Mount Baker their juice is real good and they also sell starter sets, Innokin and Aspire. I think the Aspire is the better of the two though cost more. Their delivery is quick 3 days to Southern California...........................Enjoy...........................

Sounds like you just want a Vision SpinnerII ~$25 and an Aspire Mini Nautilus ~$20. Personally I've always gotten these two products from ebay and have never had a problem, just make sure AUTHENTIC is in the title and if worse comes to worst you can always use paypal's buyer protection.

EDIT: If you're looking to quit vaping eventually "moving up" to a more powerful system would be counter-productive.

Thank you guys so much! I was actually expecting snarky replies...and I'm glad I didn't get any. I will check everything out.

Like I said, I'm a smoker who wants to quit and I HAVE tried vaping before and I did it extensively for awhile. I'm the type that I'm not super addicted to cigs (at least I don't think I am) and I only smoke about 2-3 times a day. When I vaped, when I would get a craving, I would just take a hit and be good for a few more hours. I'm not the type to suck on my ecig all day. I have a toddler (didn't smoke as soon as I found out I was pregnant) and I don't smoke in my house, and I'm a security guard which is a super lazy job and I just don't want to smoke cigarettes anymore!

I had products from ebay already in my cart and ready to buy when I thought about looking into things further. I had a vision spinner and a protank 3 and after looking at the pictures dozens of times, I noticed that they looked "off".

The pro tank 3 and the vision spinner were what my brother recommended and he's been vaping for a few years now.

pinkie...spend some time on the forums and do some reading. There are new smaller mods with better performance and battery life, such as the iStick. New atomizers with major improvements are hitting the market, such as the Aspire Atlantis and the soon to be released Kanger Subtank.

There are numerous online vendors running some good sales, such as 101vape.com. Also, check out the Deals and Steals thread, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals.html.

Many eJuice vendors are also registered suppliers on ECF with threads. Go look at the vendor threads and see what they are saying. Bryce's makes some really good eLiquids at an affordable price, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/515576-bryces-e-juice.html.

Last but not least, get verified. There are some really good deals to be had in the coops, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/announcements-news/283955-how-become-verified-member.html.
