Hello everyone!
I'm so glad I found this site! I have so many questions but I will hold off until I feel that i have really read through a lot of the other posts since i'm sure most of my questions have been answered time and time again.
I'm 29 yrs old and I've been an analog smoker (lol, love the term) since I was in highschool. I've quit a few times with various success but i come right back to those darn cigarettes. I am really going to give my all with this e-smoking since I think I'll really love it and it will help me stay off the bad cigs.
I've been a 1/2 a pack a day smoker (or a little more) for the past few years. Having watched the results of my grandmothers smoking for 40+ years i knew I needed to quit tobacco, but i just loved smoking so much that I haven't had the willpower to give it up.
I've ordered two different types of "personal vaporizors" from two different companies. The mini cigarette from smartfixx.com and the 2 piece kit from red dragon (vanilla flavor) to compare and see what i like. I ordered medium strength nicotine since i didn't think i'd get as much nicotine as from an analog, but after reading some posts on this board I might have to step down the dosage to light since i smoke about once an hour or so.
The red dragon appeals to me more because the cartridge and atomizer is in 1 and is replaced everytime, and i think that would be easier for a first time e-cig user.
The smart fix mini cigarette appealed to me for the longer battery life, the fact that it's black and hopefully won't be mistaken for an analog and the cost of the catridge replacements are cheaper.
I hope to quickly get the hang of refilling my own carts and taking care of my own equipment. I figure I spend about $65-70 every 2-3 weeks on analog. I hope that I can cut my costs with e-cigs after I have found the equipment that i like best. I've started to get an idea about how the liquids are used but am not sure if I'll try refilling my own for the first few months.
What I'd really love is to see if there are any e-cig people or groups in my area (Seattle, WA) who might be willing to show me tips and tricks since I learn much better from doing then reading. But I also look forward to feedback and advice from fellow e-smokers on this forum.
Thanks All!
