New here, Hi everyone. Question about my new Smoktech SID

Ok so I got a Smoktech SID today and have been reading all about them. I got it locally at a retail storefront here that sells provaris and vamo and all kinds of nice stuff. anyway.

I have read that the battery tube comes off and I just wanted to remove mine and flip it so the logo was up by the bottom AND so i can easily remove my battery incase it doesnt wanna come out, it is very snug. However I CANNOT get the tube to remove from the upper section, I have tried as hard as I can without wanting to damage the screen plastic or the button.

Is the tube removable only on the colored ones? I have the sandblasted silver one and it has a line were it should come off but it just wont budge. its crazy. Any input would be great, thanks alot everyone and thanks for all the other useful helpful information you all provide on this wonderful website.

It most definitely should come off. Right below the fire button is where it would unscrew from. I have a white one so I'm not 100% positive the silver ones are the same, but I would be pretty suprised if not.

Well, I was in to the store to get some more juice and a protank 2 and had them try. 3 guys tried and couldn't get a good enough grip so we wrapped wide rubber bands around the tube and the... controller part?? and it finally broke loose.

They took a new one out of the box and it simply unscrewed haha they were going to give me that one but we're determined to get mine loose and we/they succeeded. so long story short, if anyone else has this issue get some wide rubber bands and wrap it for extra grip and twist like hell. it DOES come off.
