Hi there...newbie here.

I've been reading about regulated/unregulated batts. So, I used the online chat help at V2 and asked about their batteries.

The response was first: What do you mean?
Followed immediately by: It is FDA approved.

I thought: Huh? I guess I never realized that the Food and Drug Administration regulates batteries!?!??

So, after I responded to the "What do you mean?" The response after a long pause was Regulated.

Makes me think someone was blowing smoke errrr vapor up my whatchamacallit.

Thanks Tinkiegrll! Glad I found this community! I'm set on cigarette sized and probably pre-filled carts since I'm just starting. Though I'm sure in a short time I'll likely be filling blanks.

I'm sure others more knowledgable about the cigarette sized things will be popping along shortly, but if you're wary of V2, I hear you may want to check out the Volt by Smokeless Image, or the G6 by Halo. Halo, by the way, has some amazing tasting juice. They also have ways to upgrade when and if you want to at some point down the road.

+1 Dave, who appears to be Happy. I started with V2. They're about the same as every other cig-alike and, just like every other cig-alike, you'll probably move on to an eGo or Volt X2 or whatever in a month or so.

No harm, no foul. It seems to be one of the steps a lot of people go through and I understand that since I did it myself. Form and function are very important to the newly-quit smoker and they need something that looks and feels as much like their cigarettes as possible.

Later, that manual habit starts to break.

Happy former V2 user here. I used mine from the day I quit smoking on August 26th, 2012 to April 27th, 2013. Their batteries are great for what they are and their warranty or "battery exchange" can't be beat. I quit vaping in April and started up again at Thanksgiving. The second time around was more about "recreation" and less about "smoking" so I didn't feel the need to a pseudo-smoke experience. I agree their carts are pricey and as such I refilled mine. The bother of refilling carts is what ultimately made it easy to quit vaping back in April.

Good luck!
