I am new to this forum. I thought I would come here for advice.
I purchased an joyetech evic less than 3 months ago. The control head screen went black, I've tried every solution and it is still not turning on. I threw away the box which I found out contained the serial number so I am unable to get a replacement. Does anyone know any solutions to fix this?

If not I plan on buying a new battery, anyone suggest a good brand that isn't joyetech?

Also what web-site do you find best for purchasing juice from?

Sorry, I can't help you. I have not had any trouble with my eVic at all in the last 6 or 7 months since I got it.

Does it work at all when you connect it over USB, or is it totally dead? Have you tried a second battery? It's possible that your battery isn't charging properly enough to power it anymore.

Have you read through this forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/411359-joyetech-evic-repair.html

Also, can you give a little more details surround this? Were you upgrading the firmware? Charging it? Just vaping?

HTH, Good Luck!

Welcome to the forums, try and goto a local shop, borrow one of their batteries, and see if it turns on.

I would also try and find another USB cable incase the one you have is bad too. See if the battery will charge.

If either works and use the evic a lot go for the bigger battery, green one.

Thanks for the reccommendation, I might just try that. I checked out a review and it looks pretty good.

Any thoughts on the "Innokin iTaste VTR"

Buy it from a reputable vendor! The first couple of production runs had some issues that caused problems. I got one of those, and have had one hell of a time working with the vendor to get it replaced. I have a thread on the issues with the VTR itself, that may prove useful for you. I have sent mine back and I'm currently waiting for word that my new Camo Green VTR has shipped.

I do recommend the Green version, as the Silver version is a fingerprint magnet and looks pretty bad after just a couple of minutes holding it.

As always, HTH but YMMV!

Update to all you fine people who helped me.
For some magical reason after not working for a full day, the screen decided to work again..... I don't know how long it will last so well see....
I am still going to buy an backup encase this happens again.

great news ... being an eVic owner myself, nice to hear it is working again for you.

And welcome to ECF Obscured :2cool:
