Hey members!

My name is Ken and live in Los Angeles and a full time student and work part time. I've been thinking about getting a vape and have my eyes set on the joyetech Evic. I'm totally new to this vape thing and do not know crap about it. Is there any information I need to know?

I plan on buying the Evic starter kit from this place Joyetech eVic Starter Kit | eVic Vapor Intelligent Ecigarette from AquaVaporCig North Carolina
I have a few questions about this product. It says I can add a 1.8 or 2.4 momh Nova head, what does the Nova Head do and what does the omh means?

What is the difference from Cartomizers and Atomizer?

Do I need the extended battery? I do no smoke all the time or a chain smoker.

What are the difference between the Provari and the Evic?

Hi Ken, nice to have you here!
The Evic is a device you can connect to your PC to check how many puffs you had and things like that. I know some people which are very happy with it, but i never owned one for myself, because i don´t need these features.
I own a provari and i am very happy with it. The main difference between the provari and the Evic is the quality of the construction. I also own a vmax, which looks similar to the provari, but the quality isn´t so good and takes not all atomizers which the provari does.
The Nova head is the atomizer, with the different ohms you have an infulence to the arising vape, i would prefer the 1.8Ohm but that depends on your preferences.
I think the evic isn´t the wrong decision, i think you will be happy with it.

i got mine from value vapors in texas. it is a very well designed piece. buggy? no problems after 3 weeks. bugs are firmware related and usually take a while to work out.i use 2.3 to 2.5 kanger mt3's on mine waiting for the protank by kanger and i have a drunker tank on the way. i have read they were loose, rattled , and were buggy, have not seeen this with mine.usually the charging issues are with not having the right battery mAH selected in the first place. i use the 2600 samsung that was in the kit, lasts me probally two days without a charge. i started with an blu went to the ego after one day (hated the blu). moved up to the l-rider and now the evic. i love mine and would not hesitate to buy another one.as far a provari goes it may be like comparing a chevy to a caddy but i still see old chevys on the road and very few caddys.
