Hello everyone...just starting vaping in Dec and wasted my money on my first starter pack. Have been doing a ton of research and am learning a lot. Settled on the Inferno and I really like it. What a huge difference not having to charge my battery every hour. Ordered the choconilla haze and it's pretty good. Ordered 2 other juices and didn't care for them. I can't seem to find my juice preference. I have tried Johnson creek and enjoyed the Tenn cured and domestic. I also enjoyed Blus flavors. I seem to be having trouble with the vg juices' I know most have problems with the pg but I get a sore throat, headache blurred Vision and runny nose when using blu and johnson creek vg juice. I have had none of this with Volcano vg/pg mix. Anyone else have an issue with 100% vg juice? I don't seem to care for the fruit flavors. I ordered some kona milkshake from Virgin Vapors today and hoping for a winner. Now I'm stuck with tons of Blu carts and can't smoke them...I keep going back to them to see if they work but I just get sick and feel bad. I like the coffee, nutty and caramel flavors so far. Happy to have found such an informational forum.

Hi and Welcome to the ECF!

I can safely say that a rather high percentage of vapers bought a really expensive yet inadequate kit for their first try. You're not alone but it got you to quit analogs and find out about vaping. In the end.. small investment.

You really don't know with the nic. I smoked 1+ ppd Marlboro light 100s and still am vaping 24mg. Would order some juices in different strengths. When I vape too much nic. I get some nausea and a headache. Other signs I've read about include drooling, vertigo and feeling "spacy". Make sure to drink much more water than you normally do as vaping is really dehydrating. I need to keep water with me all the time otherwise will feel crummy if I vape a lot.

Best of luck with your new kit!

Blu carts I think were 18mg and the juice from volcano was 16mg. With the blu I felt I had to constantly draw on them to get my fix. With the inferno it seems I draw on it less and get more satisfaction. But I put Tennessee cured in my inferno and the same sick feeling came over me.Maybe its and additive that's it in Johnson creek juices. They make juice for Blu. Who knows?! I will keep experimenting and figure it out at some point.

I started out all wrong with juices for the most part until I hit a sweet juice I really liked. I took that knowledge and started looking at what people were vaping and took notes on sweet juices and bakery style juices and found I absolutely love coppercreek's house blend, kickbassvapor gooey better cake and kickbassvapor ricekrispitytreat.

I've discovered I also need to clear my sweet palette once a day with a low sweet mint such as candycane or doublemint so the sweets remain fresh. (too much sweet seems to deaden my taste buds to the sweetness)

As for straight vg, I never went that route after reading the forum opinions. My favorite mix is 70% pg and 30% vg, the vg gives me the amount of vapor I like, but the higher pg allows a better taste to come through for me.

I should be getting a bottle of ry4 from kickbass tomorrow. I tried some I had ordered for my sister and was pleasantly surprised at the caramel tones with slight tobacco on the exhale. Funny, I used to think I loved the taste of my analogs....argh...I hate the taste of tobacco now...LOL. I know taste is subjective to each individual, but so many who were faithful to a brand of analogs for 30+ years because of taste preference also cannot stand the taste of tobacco any more!:)
Good Luck with the experiments!

Welcome to ECF! 100% vg makes me a little 'wonky' too. I ordered some 100% by mistake & am now blending it with other 70/30 & 80/20 juices - w/ the occasional splash of 100%pg Dekang "strong mint". I've come up with a couple of really tasty flavor combos this way through trial & error.

Best of luck finding your go-to juices!

I got some 100% VG and also experienced the 'heavy lung' sensation someone else mentioned. But headaches are interesting, because they mean either too much nicotine or not enough. If your headaches are accompanied by dizziness, 'out of it' sensations, nausea... that's probably too little nicotine. If your headaches come with the jitters, inability to focus, racing heart, that's too much nicotine.

The runny nose and sore throat are both common to VG-usage, from what I understand -- the sore throat's typical of not drinking enough water while vaping, but the runny nose seems to be unique to VG from what I've read. Doesn't mean that's universally true, but everyone's got a different reaction to juice blends.

For me, right now, a 50/50 blend's working out well, and it's still okay if it tips about 10% to one side or the other. But if I go too far out of the middle range, I start getting oddities, so I've been sticking to the middle ground. Dunno if that'll help you or not!

Hello there and Welcome to this great forum (the ECF)...

Finding a juice is both hard and Fun! My advice is to buy small cheap bottles until you get a winner then buy a couple Big bottles and keep trying others while you always have the Big back-up bottles handy, then sit back and enjoy!!! i find 50/50 or 70/30 pg/vg works best for me. Happy Vaping :vapor:

Hi...I'm waiting for my starter kit to arrive....should be here Monday. After reading a LOT of information here, I ordered the KGO kit. Really glad I found this forum before wasting money on the kit from the guy at the mall.
I'm kind of in the same boat of wondering what kinds of juices to order. My first issue is what nicotine level. I ordered several several small samples in different nicotine levels to try and figure out where I should be before I order more. Sure I will run out very quickly, but just afraid of ordering stuff that might be too strong or not strong enough. I smoked Marlboro Ultra Lights for many years, and in the last few months, the ultra light version of the machine rolled cigs from the big machine at a local tobacco store. Hoping to kick the analogs after 40 years....

The sample pack was a smart move. If you were smoking Ultra Lights, I'd try a nic level of 14mg or a little lower (just my opinion, of course :) )

I ordered samples of 1-18s, 2-16s, and 3-14s.....figure I will try all three and then order the lowest that seems okay. I think the machine ultra lights were stronger than the marlboros...at least I smoked less of them. Would like to go as low as possible, but right now the priority is getting off the analogs.

What is the deal with "steeping". Does it just mean letting them sit for a while before using? Obviously I won't have that option initially.
