Hi. I'm really new to the forum so please be patient with me. I have been vaping off and on for about a year now. I'm struggling to kick the analogs for good. I really enjoy them. I know, that's bad. I have a great set up, but I'm just not feeling the juices that are out there. I'm trying my hand at making my own. Just not real confident. Anyway, just looking for some people to talk to.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Coffee time and while i'm on the phone for work is the hardest for me -- and I slip sometimes too (coffee and ciggs... mmmmm)
The thing is as long as you have analogs handy you're setting yourself up for failure -- use what you have and do not buy anymore... when you want a cigg -- grab your mod and take a big old puff off it and remember how much better this tastes than the stinky sticks...
its tough -- and finding a flavor you like really helps -- for me not too sweet is important when I'm craving a stinky....

Hello,

I think sometimes you just have to make up your mind that you’ll vape not smoke. I know what you mean though about ‘not feeling the juices that are out there’. It’s not always easy to find eliquid you enjoy. If you’re looking for tobacco flavours, you should try some Naturally Extracted Tobacco (NET) eliquid. Otherwise, you should find a good vape shop nearby that lets you try out the different flavours, perhaps then you can find ones you like, which should also give you some ideas for your DIY.

Hi! I'm relatively new to vaping and, like you, I had a hard time with it at first. What kind of e-cig are you using? I tried a couple of different ones and finding the right one for me really helped. I use the Aspire Atlantis (at first, the original one and recently upgraded to the Atlantis 2) and I find that it has made all the difference because I'm getting harder hits of juice than with previous ones. Also, what mg juices are you using? If you're using a lower one, such as 3mg or 6mg, it might not be strong enough for you. I was a pretty heavy smoker (Parliament Light 100's) and the 12mg juice satisfies me.

Instead of stressing yourself out trying to create your own juices at first, you might be better off finding a really good shop that has a variety of flavors. The shops I go to have staff that are really knowledgable and can give recommendations based on the flavor I am looking for; it's nice, too, because they allow me to sample them before buying. Once you have a sense of the flavors/brands you like, you'll have an easier time trying to create your own.

Also, once you find an e-cig and juice that you like, you'll find yourself preferring it to the real thing. There's been times where I've smoked a real one and I actually find myself grossed out by the taste and smell. Stick with it, you can do it!

Hi all. Well I tried again to make some new juices. I tried my hand at a Orange and vanilla flavor, a raspberry flavor, and a plain old vanilla flavor. Just have to let them sit now. Not sure about the amount of nicotine though. May have to add a few more drops to get it right.

If you want some simple fruit flavors with no purfumy stuff in them check out flavors from Flavor Concentrates. Just mix the blueberry, Watermelon or peach at 15-20% add your nic and you have a great fruit vape with no purfumy arrtibutes. I also add 1 drop per ml of Stevia liquid from GNC becuase I like em sweet :) They were my first DIY flavorings.Their selection is a bit limited since they only offer natural kosher flavors with no artificial additives. But would work great with flavors from other vendors as well. And all shipping is free.

disclaimer: Other than being a satisfied customer I have no connection to FC.

I just got several flavors from FA and Inawera not impressed at this point too purfumy and not mellow, have a bite. May just wind up staying with FC. Have not given up on the FA and Inawera flavors yet though....

You are using a juice calculator I hope?

Yeah, I was looking into those this past weekend. I'm really thinking I might place an order with them.

I'm using a U-Storm mech mod with a mutation x v2 Dripper on it. One of my two favorite setups. I do think I'll up my nic level just a bit too. Not much though. But I just made a new juice and an vaping it now. Aside from the nic level, it's just about perfect.

Welcome, Lady Dragon. There are loads of friendly folks here that can help you with DYI ejuice. Congrats on cutting down on the analogs. Don't feel bad about the ones you do smoke, it took me a couple years of duel vaping to finally put them down for good. To be honest, I didn't think I would live this long. I am also on a vanilla trip right now. I am enjoying Vanilla Tobacco and Vanilla Custard. I would like to try DIY ejuice but I am also a bit too lazy. Kick back, relax and keep on vaping.
