Hey everyone! I'm new here and just thought I'd say hello...

I've been smoking for 8+ years, and have just recently got into vaping. I haven't kicked the cigs quite yet, but have significantly cut back with hopes of fully dropping it in the very near future.

Looks like you guys/gals have a great community here and I'm looking forward to learning more and meeting some cool people!

Welcome to the forums and I hope you find answers to whatever it may be that helps you kick the smokes.

It'll take some time to kick smoking entirely. You just got to find something that works for you first. Over time, vaping more, you will slowly drop the cravings for firing up a cigarette. At least I did. But find out what works for you and roll with it. But don't forget to try stuff out as you progress way from cigarettes and into vaping. What killed smoking for me was moving from clearos and a regulated mod to rebuilding and mechanical mods. But your mileage may vary.

Yeah it's been tough but it's getting easier to ignore the craving and Vape it away. I went from a pack and a half a day, to maybe a half dozen or less a day depending on how I feel.

I find the more into vaping I get the less I crave cigarettes. I started with the EVOD2, which was garbage and was put on the shelf after a few days. Then I purchased a istick 50w and subtank mini which was much more satisfying.

I ended up giving that to my girlfriend, and bought the IPV3 LI VR and a velocity clone. But it seems I smoke less and less everyday now!

That's how it starts. You find devices that work for you and devices that don't work for you. Over time though you'll find that secret weapon to kill cravings indefinitely. From time to time I get the craving for a cigarette - and just to keep my hand off the lighter, I wrap another coil, take a rip off my Tugboat and my 6mg juice and usually it stops begging me to go get a pack of smokes. Now because of it's lower nic levels, that 6mg will curb the craving, but it will come back and rather quickly too, but I just keep tooting away. If I need to bring in my heavy hitter - I'll bring my Kayfun out, slap it on my device and take a few toots of a 12mg. And that usually shuts up the cigarette craving for a good while. And what AXIOM said - they will become repulsive - the smell of them is what makes me nauseated.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! An awful lot of us didn't kick cigarettes right away, but dual-used for a while. I knew I had finally quit the day I found myself reaching for my e-cig instead of my cigs. It'll come for you, too, when you find just the right combination. Not that you won't change your self-up half a dozen times after that ;) Have fun!
