Hey all,

New vaper here from Ontario, Canada. Just starting vaping to try and quit smoking. Been smoking 1/2 to 1 PAD and looking forward to making it happen. So much info here - pretty tough to take it all in!

Starting with an Ego-C Twist w/ a nautilus Mini. Working pretty well so far, but I see that there are many upgrades to do!

If you're in Ontario, I'd suggest looking up Dashvapes for juice and gear. It has quickly become my go too place in the province for juice and gear. Prices (once the US/CAD conversion is done) are on par with the going rate for most stuff and shipping is quick.

EDIT: If you look at the juices, a pretty good chunk of the lines they carry have test results for diketone levels.

Thanks, I've looked at them and one of their shops is pretty close to my work. I'll definitely check them out. Any experience with Evapes? They have a B&M right around the corner from my house.

Welcome to the forum. I recently graduated from college and I'm wanting to move up to the Ontario area to be with my fiance. It's gorgeous up there, although from Alabama weather to winter up there, I'd freeze haha

Winter can be a cruel mistress, but it makes you appreciate the summer all that much more! We will just have to get you a pair of skates to properly enjoy the winter.

If you try to just stop at once it can be tough. Some folks slowly cut back on the death sticks while others stop all of a sudden. Just whatever is easiest for you. Just don't stop vaping because it WILL eventually work.

Thanks, I'm vaping exclusively at home right now (no cigs at home), and still smoking regularly outside of there (ie. work & car), but eventually I'm going to try and let the vaping takeover.

Right on brother...good job! Keep up the good work and before you know it smoking will be so disgusting compared to vaping that it will be easy to give them up.

Thanks! I'm certainly hoping that's how it works out. Got to go get the GF one now and get her doing the same. She tried the patch, but I think this will agree with her more.

patches and gums are a big joke and the only thing they are designed to do is to put money into the pockets of big pharma... They do not simulate or feel like smoking, hence they are useless for most people. Vaping on the other hand can give the exact same feeling as smoking provided that your juices are mixed for your preference.

And watch me fall on my .... the second I stand up haha. I went up there last year in August. Like 70 degree summers. Umm, 21 degrees :) I don't have that completely learned yet haha. Y'alls summer weather is my winter weather here. I can be on the beach in shorts in December in Alabama. I don't even have sweaters, never needed them.

Definitely not as hot as Alabama, but summers here are about 25-35C which is 77-95F. There can be pretty high humidity here too which makes it feel hotter. You will also need to figure out the metric system pretty quickly!

No, I'm actually in Ottawa and I've only physically set foot in one of their stores once. 99% of my business with them is online orders.

As for Evapes, do you mean these guys? I've never dealt with them, but looking at their product lineup, its definitely more geared towards someone entering the market, it might not hurt to check them out and see some of the products first hand.

Basically what I did when starting out was to just google stuff I was interested in and comparison shop Canadian sites usually dealing with Dashvapes or canvape in Canada and Fasttech from China. The other thing I did was watch reviews of products I was interested in online, Phil Busardo is the one I respect and agree with most, there are several others that do some good reviews as well.
