Hey all! I'm fairly new to vaping and I'm currently using an iJoy avenger 270 vape. It's not exactly giving me what I would like though. I'm looking for a piece that will not only be able to blow very large clouds, but also one that gives me more flavor. It might be the juice Im using, but with this current set up I can only taste the juice itself after I exhale and lick my lips. No real flavor at all otherwise, so I'm looking for any help I can get here! Im not tied to one company, so any recommendations are welcome. I also have a flexible budget so if someone is higher priced I can absolutely consider it! Just hoping for a nice flavor and some big clouds! Thanks :)

To start with, sub ohm set ups aren't always the best on flavor, because of the necessary airflow.

There are some devices that do a decent mixture of both clouds and flavor but most of them = putting an RDA on a squonker..

If your considering building your own coils, you might want to give people a heads up..

As for the rest, I'm a flavor chaser not a cloud chaser so my current tank is the OFTF Gear but its rebuildable, same for my RDA, also rebuildable..

Hopefully some cloud chasers will be by soon with suggestions.

I appreciate the input, I'll note down those names for future reference :)

Hello @MeckoMancer, could you tell us what tank and coil you are using please?
I'm hoping I can fit on a different coil and tank for better results as the vape itself is quite nice. But like I mentioned before, if I can find a new kit that meets what Id like I will absolutely consider upgrading. Gotta keep an open mind!

Well, your mod and tank have 510 connectors.

So yes. You can keep your mod and change the tank for another tank, RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomiser) or even RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser).

If you're looking for a drop in coil tank, what would you be looking for? As in do you mind Kanthal coils?
I'll be completely honest with you here because I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. Im "new" in the sense that Ive only ever bought pre built kits and never customized them, so I'm not entirely sure what each of those tanks and coils are :p Would most of them be able to screw onto my mod? Im assuming that's what 510 connectors means

Aye, you got it. It's an industry standard that allows things to work together.

For example I have various mods with a Female 510 on them. I also have Vaporesso Skrr tanks, Geekvape Ammit 25 RTA's, Thunderhead Creations Tauren SOLO RDA's and all of them have Male 510 connectors. So they can all work together.

Just the RDA's are better at Squonking. Which is where you use a Squonk mod that has a liquid feed bottle that you can use to force liquid up into the RDA, through the 510 connector and a hollow centre pin on the RDA.

As RDA's are the easiest and most forgiving rebuildables to work with, but dripping liquid into them can be a pain. But also a pack of 80 Muji organic Cotton pads and a spool of wire is much cheaper than drop in coils.

The fireluke mesh tank is a good one for flavor, very popular at one point.

if you watch this video it shows you a couple builds on a RDA:

Coil, the metal heating element where electricity changes into heat. The heat touches the wick, a piece of cotton or other fiber. The wick sucks up juice to get it in touch with the hot coil, where the juice turns into vapour. The wick and heating element together make up an atomiser.

Drop-in coil tanks allow you to carry around some juice. The heating element and wick come together in a coil head. Also called coil for short. This is often a little metal tube that you can replace. On your device this looks like so:

The whole tank comes with a universal 510 pin. This screw at the bottom allows you to connect it to all sorts of power sources. In your case to your mod:

This connection allows for all sorts of vaporizers:
  • Your own drop in coil tank or tank for short.
  • Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers; no tank, so you drip in juice frequently.Screenshot_20190505-013158~2.png
  • Rebuildable Tank Atomizers; the tank holds a quantity of juice in contact with your wick.Screenshot_20190505-013311~2.png
The rebuildable aspect allows you to customize your vape experience. You build your own coils and roll your own wicks. This is cheaper then buying replacement coil heads for your tank.

My advice: Play with airflow, wattage, different juice flavours and make sure to try all the coil types you can find for the tank you have. Start low on the wattage, even below the manufacturers indication and build up while twisting the airflow ring to try more and less air.

If it doesn't work, tell us what sort of equipment to advise you on ;-)

It seems like you have a nice setup. I have the freemax fireluke mesh, which I like quite a bit. I also have the freemax mesh pro, in my opinion it's great for flavor and clouds. Both give good flavor and cloud production, but with the mesh pro you get a choice of 4 different coil variants. If I were to buy just one the mesh pro wins.

That's really helpful, thank you so much! I'll be saving that.

Freemax Mesh Pro seems to get talked about the most, and most folks using them can't seem to praise them enough.

There at $23.79 here.
$23.79 (Free Shipping) Authentic FreeMax Mesh Pro Sub Ohm Tank Clearomizer (Mesh Pro, SS + Carbon Fiber, Black) at m.FastTech.com

Other places to look for gear are 3fvape, 2fdeal, sourcemore and vapecrawler to name a few. Some deals out there are amazing, found Vapour DNA selling the Grafitti Gold version of Vsticking VK530 mod for $39.99. It uses a Yihi SX530J chipset, which is high end.
