New juice tastes like pepper?

I recently ordered new juice from Madtown and I could not be happier with their customer service. I ordered caramel swirl, butternutz, and they included a free sample of vanilla custard! What I love is that the sample is mixed with the ratios and nicotine of the juices I ordered.

Now, my problem is that all of the juices have a pepper taste to them. Its vapeable, but not the most pleasant. What causes this? And is there anything I can do to get the pepper taste out? If it matters, I'm using an iClear 30S, 2.5ohm coil (just replaced before trying the new juice), and a vision spinner.

It could very well be the nicotine causing it. What mg do you vape your nic at? The higher the nic concentration the more peppery it'll be. This should calm down after several days/weeks, as time goes by. Did you shake your bottles really well before filling your tank? You may need to do this for the first few days.

I vape 18mg. I've never had this problem before, so I wasn't sure if it could be the nicotine or not. I did shake it up pretty well and the juice seems like it has great potential, just wish the pepper taste wouldn't be there.

I would let them know. You might get replacements.

It's the nicotine base they are using. Nicotine can vary from having a pronounced pepper bite to being pretty much tasteless. The higher your nic level the more pronounced the "pepper" will be if it's going to be a problem. And some people are more sensitive to the taste than other folks.

There isn't much you can do about it if this is the nicotine base that the vendor chooses to use. (Even if the vendor was willing an exchange would only get you more of the same.) If anything the pepper edge may become more pronounced with age.

Chalk it up to a lesson learned and put the liquids up for a swap for something else:

Needs to steep a while, meanwhile let you vendor know.

I agree with the above poster. Let it steep a couple weeks then try again. If it still tastes badly after a month or two, then it may just not be the juice for you.

I contacted Madtown and explained what I should do. They have some of the best customer service. Thank you all for your help all bottles are sitting in a dark closet for a bit!
