The question is how you're acheiving your tincture. Is it an ethanol tincture? Vinegar? PG? PG tinctures are not for internal consumption, only for external use, like in soaps, lotions, shampoos, etc., and I sure wouldn't want to be inhaling an ethanol tincture, which is made
through the use of grain alcohol to create an alcoholic drink.
Also, when tincturing herbs, most often the desired properties of the herbs do not survive the process. So, while, say, a chamomile tincture is, indeed, made from the herb, its known properties of calming and promoting sleep are not present, having been destroyed by the tincturing process.
I'm not sure that any of the medicinal properties of herbs would withstand the heat of the atomizer, nor would it be wise to aerosol those herbs. Also, herbs are herbs due to their oils, contained in the leaves, roots, or bark. Oil is not something that should be used in a VP in any quantity as the lungs cannot expel it.
I wouldn't even trust herbal hydrosols which, while the most delicate of herbal preparations, would not survive the heat of an atomizer to acheive the effects you desire.
Frankly, I'd not mess with additives which are not 100% water soluable, and herbs and the various methods of their extraction, are not. Stick with ingestion or topical use.
