Both are good. Gold being my favorite of the two. Sorry Sandy that sucks.

Thanks, Dog. Those two are not the only NLV juices that I like. It is one of the few places I can say I like almost all the flavors. I knew something was up when I saw that anyone who posted a question on his thread got criticized and shot down immediately. I guess if his juices are fantastic, people will buy from him even if he has poor customer service.

Sandy, I'm not happy with the limited availability of NLV's juices either. It's a bother to constantly check for updates on the site and search for info among the chit-chat on the NLV PowWow Thread in hopes of being able to order. It looks like two half-days per month could become the new schedule.

That said, I'll continue to order from NLV when possible. Twilite is my staple juice and I've been buying it by the jug to cover the stretches between buying opportunities; nothing else has ever been a month after month vape for me.

Max, I understand your point. Twilite is a wonderful juice.

But there are some people who like the thrill of the game.

Shopping on Black Friday, rushing out to the stores when they are open and getting all the good deals. I am not one of those people who likes the shopping game. I want the merchandise that is available when I want it. And I have grown to expect the stellar customer service that every other vendor I have dealt with except Nite Lite Vapors has given me.

Customer service is the name of the game. Thank goodness there are so many vendors that shine with great customer service. They are the ones who get my business.

I buy a lot of stuff, as most of us do.

Heck, we are early adapters. We like new things. That's why we are here.

Okay, jumping down off my soap box now ;)

maybe NLV will expand. but for now i think our fate is held by the FDA. i know Gene is struggling now to keep up as hiring more employees is not stable especially with the uncertainity of the vaping world with the FDA bullcrap. heres to hoping the whole FDA thing will blow over and we can have our peace of mind back.

Sandy, here's a little story about customer service:

Last year I had NLV Goldrush for the first time; I loved it and placed another order for it immediately. I finished that first 10mL bottle quickly and started on the new 30mL bottle immediately after receiving it. For some reason it didn't taste the same as the first bottle; in fact I thought it was nothing at all like the first one.

I commented on this on the supplier thread and IIRC, Gene replied saying that there shouldn't be a problem since mixing, bottling and labeling were carefully controlled. He offered to send a replacement bottle but I declined since I considered that overall my order had still been a good value.

A few days later I received a package from NLV containing a 30mL bottle of juice and a handwritten note from Gene, something like, "I don't know what the problem was, but here's another bottle of Goldrush." I was surprised and pleased, and the juice was great!

Months later I was looking through my juice collection and came across the old 30mL bottle of Goldrush, the one that "didn't taste right." I tried it again and surprise, it was perfect, the real thing! Guess it just needed some steeping time and/or maybe the old taste buds weren't working correctly when I first tasted it. I felt a little ashamed about calling NLV's quality and consistency into question, and for Gene's trouble in sending that free bottle.

I still have a little of that juice left. Occasionally I vape it and savor its taste, and reflect on the customer service from Nite Lite Vapor.

Hmm Kemosabe, me think FDA bad medicine for vaping community, deserve big 'UGH!' all around. /tonto

There's a lot of uncertainty for sure. I wouldn't commit my life savings to expanding a business that's likely to be crushed by new gov regs at some point.

The second day is much easier to order....the first day is usually pretty frantic because the NLV "fanatics" are getting in their orders. I just got some great customer service from NLV....I ordered for myself and a friend....2 bottles gold @ 12mg, and 1 bottle gold @ 18mg. When my order arrived, I had 3 12mg bottles. Send an email to NLV explaining what happened, and within an hour got a shipping notice that the correct juice was on its way.

Nice to hear, Max. I found that in the past I got great service from Nite Lite, too. Gene often included free bottles in my orders, responded promptly to emails and phone calls and always shipped promptly. What Kemo said has a lot to do with what is going on, I am sure.

Not sure how things are in Iowa, but here you can rent facilities month-to-month, if it is a matter of needing to expand. And here you can get temporary employees that work just as hard and are just as smart as anyone else.

Diva, maybe I am on the 'bad person' list instead of favored friend, like I was before. The first day, I ordered Gold 18 mg., and when I put it in the cart it showed out of stock. So I ordered 18 mg. of Waffle. I sent an email immediately, asking him to substitute Gold for Waffle and it was not corrected. And when it arrived, I emailed, and Gene refused to correct it because I ordered.

The worst part?

I was ordering the 18 mg. juices for a gal that lives in Australia, Scarf-ace. She PMd me and asked me to order for her and ship it to Australia, since Nite Lite does not ship there. So it's Scarf-ace that did not get her Gold, not me.

It wasn't a huge order that I placed, but it was over $150.00.

I think eventually the feds will smother small vendors with regulations on eliquid and tax it as heavily as they do cigarettes. All to "protect public health" (although there hasn't been a problem in that area) and the actual effect will be to eliminate the cost savings incentive for smokers to switch to vaping, greatly reducing the number of new vapers and having a net unfavorable effect on public health, not to mention individual liberty.

But 'public health' is not the driving force behind regulation, it's Big Pharma and Big Tobacco, the organizations with the money and influence to guide events to benefit their interests. Couple that with Big Gov's desire to control every human activity and extract a heavy percentage of the profits, and regulation is inevitable.

To me, Goldrush tastes like a rich Turkish blend cigarette without the burning paper harshness. For an ex-Camel smoker it's probably the best analog-like juice that ever was, and I'll be sad when the last plumes of its vapor drift away.

Kemosabe,

No, other than being tobacco blends, Goldrush and GOLD are not similar at all.

GOLD is a sweet, spicy caramel-tobacco blend that that is more candy-like than tobacco-ish, as is Bounty Hunter (against which GOLD now competes for the status of flagship juice in NLV's line-up).

Goldrush was---as MaxUT wrote so well---a straight tobacco (or at least significantly "straighter"), reminiscent of Turkish, not especially sweet, and much more subtle in overall impact than GOLD. Basically for tobacco aficionados, which is a smaller demographic among vapers and probably one reason it didn't make the cut and was discontinued. Sure, Twilight and Litehouse are also supposedly straighter tobaccos, but they're both more intensely flavored blends. NLV seems to lean away from subtle juices. I still have some Goldrush, as well as US Marshal.

I absolutely hated the Gold at first but forced myself to give it at least a few days of vaping before making up my mind on it. It is actually really growing on me now, reminds me of a toasted cereal with a touch of maple. Not sure if that's accurate but that's what I'm getting out of it,lol. I have also been dropping a few drops of Bounty Hunter in occasionally and it really adds a nice vanilla touch to the vape. And to think I almost tossed the bottle into the juice graveyard:D

I got my mini jug of NLV Gold about a month ago. At first, I was getting a burnt caramel popcorn taste that was pretty darn good (burnt in a good way like slightly overcooked caramel, not in a bad way). Now, after having it for a month, I CANNOT PUT IT DOWN. The flavor has matured into a sweet, caramel baked-good flavor that is pretty indescribable. I absolutely love it and it is now my #1 juice. My jug is over 3/4 gone already, but I will be buying another 1 or 2 jugs soon.

This juice seems easy on my cartos (which is a definite plus!) I've had friends—both vapers and non-vapers—try it and all have them said how it tastes similar to pancakes/waffles with maple syrup. I kinda get that flavor now that I think about it . . . like a crispy waffle with a maple-caramel syrup. Absolutely amazing juice. Have hardly touched any other juices since it has arrived.

10/10 from me!

NLV juices are great, but their customer service reeks. And they lost their credit card capabilities, so you have to send a certified check or a money order. Are there other awesome juices? Yep.

It is a bit of a pain having to do a money order and them not always having their juices in stock, however I've been completely satisfied in every other aspect (quick shipping, good communication, amazing juices, etc.)

Did something in particular happen?
