I CANNOT get a clean first hit of the sub ohm, or any ohm for that matter! Burnt nasty nasty nasty burnt. Thats all I ever get. I have thrown away like 10 coil heads (literally) I don't know what the hell is going on. I have even primed them over night and still. Wake up thinking surely after sitting in juice for 8 hours no problems. WRONG. Is anybody else having this problem? I'm using everything from 50/50/ to 70/30 PG/VG juice and these coils just don't like to vape unlike my Aspire BVCs. Those bad boys you can pop in and just about hit it soon as your bottom cap is screwed on. These Kanger coils are seriously about to piss me off. I have tried everything. Please somebody explain to me why I am an idiot and can't get them to work! It is a simple fix right? It is all user error right? I have a Curric tank, a Kanger Quad Turbo, a Kanger Giant. And I am almost to the point of hauling them off for scrap metal.

If you are getting a burnt taste (we call those "dry hits"), if usually means your wick cannot pull the eliquid fast enough to keep up with your battery. There are a couple of things you can do:

1. Dial down your voltage. This will vaporize the eliquid at a slower rate (if your battery allows you to do this)
2. Decrease the airflow, if your tank has adjustable airflow. The decrease in airflow will increase vacuum inside the tank's atomizer, which should increase the flow of juice to the wick..
3. Take a sharp draw (or two) on your drip tip (without engaging your battery). This will pull more eliquid into the coil so that it will be available when you press the battery button and take a draw.

You will get the feel of this over time and develop a sense of how often you will need to do this to avoid "dry hits". The PG/VG ratio of your eliquid also comes into play, as VG is thicker than PG . If you use high VG try adding a few drops of distilled water to your tank to thin out the eliquid.

Maybe that is my problem. With my Aspires, and with certain thinner viscosity juices, I can run those bad boys upwards of 15 watts with no issues. I will give it another shot. I will let another one sit for a few hours and try it at seven and see how it goes. Sure is inconvenient seeing BVCs run the second you pop them in more or less. May just give up on Kanger all together.

I have vaped the ver2 bdc kanger coils at 13.5, as a matter of fact doing it right now.

But I found I like the ver1 bdc kanger coils a lot more, so I continue to buy the version 1.

The only "problem" I had with the ver2, was they did take more effort to get their first prime on.

With so much burnt taste, I do have to ask.. are your air rings opened up to max air?
