I just received a few T3S's in today's mail, loaded one with juice, and started to vape. It lasted about 30 minutes and quit working. The battery is fine.

Could the coil have been defective and died so quickly?

Take it apart and find out. It's not a problem I've encountered. Maybe you've lost the electrical connection. Mine has been flawless other than not connecting on some bigger mods.

Well, you could check the coil unit to make sure it's screwed in tightly - they sometimes are not from the factory. If that fails to fix it, replace the coil unit and try again. If still no love, try the tank on another battery (might be a connection issue with the battery you're using).

I've got 4 T3s' all of them work well. I had one that when I went to take it part to fill, the coil head stayed in the tank. Other then that I have been rotating them for over a month, just clean the coils and change the flavor wick a few times. Real happy with the Kanger stuff. I also have a protank 2 that I have had no problem with. One of these days I am going to try winding a coil and use cotton for the wick.

happy vaping.

I am very new at this. When you look at the bottom of the tank, with the head and coil in place, there is a visible slot on the center piece. Is that the coil and should it be screwed in tightly? Mine was loose and I made it looser, thinking it needed to come out further to make better contact with the battery. Maybe that was the wrong thing to doafter reading your questions?

Your tank has 3 pieces: the main body of the tank, the base, and the coil unit. When you fill the tank, you are removing the base and the coil unit is screwed into that (it's the little tube/chimney thing sticking up into the tank). You remove the coil unit by simply twisting counterclockwise on the little tube - it will unscrew from the base.

These are manufactured to be disposable. You can clean them in water and/or alcohol (vodka) and some people actually rebuild the little coils inside of them, but don't worry about all of that - we just want to see if your coil unit is dead or if you have a problem with the base making connection with the battery.

What you adjusted was the center pin - the thing that makes contact with the battery. It shouldn't be a problem to have loosened it, but it just needs to be poking its nose past its casing.

It's a wonderful world of little things to adjust or reposition, but don't think that this is an everyday thing to have to do. Your new tank just may have to be tweaked this once or you've got a bad coil unit, which, sadly, happens with them. This will all be second nature to you in, like, a week and then it's easy peasy to diagnose your gear and 4 seconds to fix anything that comes up.
