Well I had an old Black Chromed Provari that was all scratched up (as that particular finish is known to do) that was constantly flashing it's low battery warning when the battery was still at 3.6 volts. I took it apart, which is actually very simple to do, and sanded it, using 1400 wet/dry sandpaper, while on a lathe. It came out fantastic but what really amazed me is that, while apart, I carefully sanded the battery contact on the board and low and behold, it cured the premature battery warnings! Now it doesn't flash until the battery is down to 3.2 volts!
Sweet!
