Ok, I need y'alls help with this. I have 3 Provaris (Full size v1, and 2 v2 minis). Two of them (my girlfriend uses the third so I don't know much about an issues it has) almost always shuts off prematurely due to "low battery voltage"
Now my mini just did this to me again a few minutes ago and I've tried everything I can think of, but to no avail. I pulled the battery out after it started rapidly flashing and checked the voltage with my multimeter- 3.75V. Reinserted the battery into the provari and checked voltage with my kayfun attached-3.2V Then took the kayfun off and checked it with no load-3.7V
Why am I losing half a volt with a load? It used to only drop .1 or .2 volts but this is ridiculous!
And yes I have cleaned the positive battery contact with alcohol, cleaned the threads on the battery cap (which even with cleaning with a q-tip and alcohol, I get this almost black residue everytime and it comes back just a few hours later and not a clue what it is) I've also stretched the spring some, tried a different end. Everything!
My full size provari kept doing this also which is why I switched to the mini. This is the ONLY complaint I've ever had towards any of my Provaris. It just gets very annoying after awhile of having to keep pulling the battery out and reinserting it just so I can vape. I'm using brand new aw imr batteries.
Can anyone shed some light on this and possibly have a better solution than constant battery removal??
