Hi everyone. I'm Lewis, and I'm from the UK (north-west England).

I bought an Ego-T a week or so ago - a new shop just opened near where I live. I really liked it but I've had no-end of problems with atomisers failing, I've had 4 replacements plus a replacement battery, and still haven't got one that works for more than half a dozen puffs. So I've had to buy an ordinary e-cig, and I've been using that instead. By lucky chance, it turns out that the cartridges on the ordinary one can be opened and re-filled with the liquid I got with the ego-T.

Aside from the hiccups with the Ego-T, I've really enjoyed vaping so far. I've gone from 10 death-sticks a day to just 20 this week, and those were only due to the ego-T not working when I needed it.

Welcome to the club man! Sorry to hear about the problems with the EGO Atty's though, that sucks. I only used my atty's for about 3 days before I switched to a clearomizer. I'd suggest you try one of them to see if that gives you better results. They're about $7 but last a good while. Just google 'vision clearomizer' or 'stardust clearomizer' and you'll find em. On an EGO-T I prefer to go slightly lower resistance (~2.0-2.4).

One idea on your current prob though. The EGO-T actually has a higher voltage setting that the guys at my local shop highly advised not to use. Check the color of your button when you press it. If it's a bluish color then you're running at the stock voltage. If it's more of an amber then you're running at the higher voltage. I forget the trick to changing it but I'm sure someone more experienced will chime in shortly. If you're running the higher voltage then I'd be tempted to blame the problems on that.

Ok, good deal. Yeah, the clearomizer is available in the UK. I did a quick google search on 'stardust clearomizer UK' and hit the first link to find Stardust Clearomizer LR with long dual wicks Now I'm not advocating purchasing from this particular store per se, just one example of where they could be purchased by you. Others may have more experience with a vendor they could recommend.

Oh really? Hrmmm..... Well I have had some 'stiff' draws with mine at times, maybe it comes down to your juice. Do you happen to know the PG/VG ratio on it? It seems to me that a 70/30 ratio works pretty well for these.

Another approach would be to get a VV device like the EGO Twist. They generally run around $30 US and let you go from 3.2 to 4.8v. It's my main right now and kicking up the voltage tends to put those 'stiff' clearo's in their place!

What does PV/VG mean and how do I find out what I have? I looked at the label and it gives a list of ingredients with percentages. Propylene glycol is 66%.

PG = Propylene Glycol
VG = Vegetable Glycerol

These two substances form the base liquids used in all e-liquids. They vaporize well and carry the nicotine and flavor into your lungs and nasal passages.

VG is sweet and really thick so too much will tend to clog up atomizers and cartomizers. Sounds like yours is a pretty good ratio though so I can't see that being your problem.

gratz on the fix i would have been pulling my hair out (the few tuffts left)must be nice to have local vendor wish i had a bricks and motor near me they would have to throw me out of a night :)

It would be nicer if they weren't so mega-expensive. Once I got my kit and started looking online I realised I could have got it all for less than half the price. >.<
