Hi everyone! :) Been vaping about three months and it's been invaluable in breaking my on-and-off habit. More on than off, actually. So, I'm off analogs completely.

Can anyone offer help with wrapping a 4ohm coil? I can't sub-ohm on my Vamo v3, and I don't like the vapor off sub-ohm coils anyway.

I picked up a Trident clone at my local vape shop, and it's working great with a 1.8ohm coil. I'd like to set it up with a 2ohm dual coil, but I was hoping someone could answer a few questions.

If I understand things correctly, I need two 4ohm coils to get a 2ohm dual coil setup. But for the life of me I can't wrap a coil anywhere near 4ohms. I download pbusardo's spreadsheet calculator, and it says I need about 2.2in of 34g Kanthal. I've tried wrapping it that way, but no dice.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I did a ~3.8 coil using 32 awg, at about 5/16" diameter and about 11 wraps. I pressed the ends of the coil together while I torched it to hold it's shape. I was trying for a micro coil but came out way too high. More wraps mean higher resistance made with a larger diameter and thinner wire.

I simply got some wire and practiced. :vapor:
