Hi all :)

My name is Jim, I'm in the UK and I've only been vaping for a few weeks now.

Only got basic kit at the moment but hope to improve it through time when I work out what will be best for me.

I used to roll my own and I'm finding vaping a good replacement. Only tried tobacco flavours so far. (Not very adventurous)

The main thing I would like now is to perhaps find a kit that gives me a fuller "blast" of vapour.

Cheers

Jim

CE4 maybe? An evod tank might give you better flavor and they are pretty cheap. If yours is one with the wicks hanging down inside then an Evod tank should be a step up for you and should work fine on your battery. I also vape with 650ma batteries and Evod tanks. I also use T3 and Protanks. Goodejuice.com had Evod clones for 1.99 each. what I use mostly. The coil that comes in them are not much but goodejuice has 5 packs of their value brand evod coils for 3.95 and they work well.

If you decide to move up later to a more powerful battery I recommend the Istick 30 it costs about the same as a spinner battery but is much better and you can still use your existing atomizers on it.

Hello and welcome to the forum @scottish-jim. Glad to have you here!:)

Have you found this part of ECF yet? => UK Forum | E-Cigarette Forum
Myepack.co.uk <= good pricing

A variable v/w mod (like the iStick 30 watt) would allow you to "fine tune" the power of your vape. And a clearomizer (tank) with adjustable airflow (like the mini Nautilus) would allow you to "fine tune" how loose/tight your draw is.

Lots of options available to you depending on how much you want to spend.

Hi Robert,

Yes I'm using CE4 the ones with the wicks inside. I just bought 10 x CE4's for £20 at my local store. I'll have a look at goodjuice thanks. I've had a quick look on my local stores website and they do 5 x MT3 EVOD BOTTOM COIL ATOMIZERS for £20. Would that be the right ones?
Do they last longer than the CE4? I find the CE4 get weaker after about 5 days!

Anyway, thanks for your reply

Off to look at goodjuice :)

Cheers

the MT3 is a variety of the Evod tank and yes they should be a step up. They are bottom coil tanks so you will not have to worry about tipping your tank to keep the wicks wet and yes they should last longer than your Ce4's. How long depends on how sweet, etc your ejuice is. Get some extra coils. You should have better flavor and vape quantity with those tanks.

Welcome Jim. I've been vaping for about 10 weeks. Rolled my own smokes as well before I quit. I started vaping 24mg/ml nicotine tobacco flavor in a CE4. It was an inexpensive introduction to vaping. But be warned, my friend, vaping is a slippery slope especially for those of us who like gadgets and tinkering with gadgets. I'm on my third setup (current: Eleaf Istick 30w with a Kanger Subtank Mini) and am already looking at new tanks. Some folks around here cal it "shinyitis". Lots of knowledgeable folks here at ECF. Enjoy!

Hi Jim.

Vivid is a tobacco company, so best to avoid them from now on. As you have also wisely discovered, they sell a CE4 for £4.99 when you and me can buy 7 or 8 for £10 (10 for £20, in your case). Old tech, cheap as chips.

If you want to try different tanks, you should definitely learn about the prices of the various types. I used MT3 and thought they were atrocious... actually worse than the original Kanger evod. These days there are lots of dual coil versions, these won't pair quite as nicely with your basic eGo battery.

Anyway, from vape shop, the "old but good" plastic tanks are about £3.50. iClear 16, evods, etc. The mini Protanks are under £8 and the Aspire K1 is a great glass clearomiser for only £6.99

Beware google searches (the expensive stores pay to be top) and extra beware internet reviews. Did you know there are about half a dozen global brands that now control ($/£) over 300 fake review sites for e-cigs. Worse than that, some of the most trusted internet sites for vape reviews are also in on the game collecting lorry-fulls of commission from disreputable brands. The self-styled "number 1 online vaping ******** " has a deal with a brand that charges £120 for a £30 e-cig. They split the profit.

Hang in there, and good luck. :)
