Hey ECF! I'v been a lurker for quite a while now and consistently use the forum to find information but never post. I usually use Reddit when I have issues and need help but they have failed me multiple times now so I'm pulling the trigger on the superior place for vaping information.

I've been vaping for about 3 years now. Started on cartomizers and an Ego Twist. Moved to mech mods about a year and a half ago and then regulated devices 6 or so months ago. Now I'm all about coil building mostly (much to my roommates dismay).

Now onto my problem at hand. I bought the Reuleaux DNA200 about two weeks ago. Things were going fine for a while but the last week its been acting up. I charged it once via USB but read that this might not be good for the batteries so I have been charging externally. But it will give me the check battery at around 50% and right now its sitting at 80% and is saying weak battery. yet all the batteries at at 3.98, 3.98 and 3.99 volts.

Here's a screenshot of device monitor in escribe while firing: http://i.imgur.com/J689RA5.png

The first three dips are at 111.1W and the second dips are at 42W. I swapped battery positions between the two tests.

Cell 1 always sags significantly more than the other cells. I have rotated the battery multiple times into different positions and Escribe always says Cell 1 dips significantly lower despite all the cells having the same charge.

Edit: fixed the link now that I have at least 5 posts

Welcome and glad you joined. I tend to stay away from advanced anything.
Might want to try the search function in upper right hand corner of this post. Could type in "Reuleaux DNA200 problem".
Or
Could start a new post: "Reuleaux DNA200 problem" in:
Variable Voltage APV Discussion
Not getting many replies often means you are probably in the wrong forum.

If I were in your position, I'd purchase 3 Lg hg2 from reliable source
and see if your problems go away.

I have three brand new LG HE4s in the mod

Yeah I figured its sorta the wrong forum but the little popup suggesting since I'm new I should post here to get started. After I get my 5 posts I'll probably try the forum you suggested. Thanks.

Just because they are new doesn't mean that one of the Batteries isn't defective. Maybe go to a vape shop and see if they'll let you test it out with some different batteries. If it doesn't work then you've eliminated one variable.

I've actually rotated the batteries around though. It's always the first slot that has the issue. So if battery 1 is in slot A it yields the same results as when battery 2 or 3 are in slot A

You might have a issue with the mod, but a faulty cell can do strange things. Also you can't really be sure that the readings it's showing are accurate.

You are probably right, it's not the battery but I'd still try a different battery to eliminate a variable.

Just tried three diff batteries. I get the same graph with the huge dip in Cell 1 :/

I have an RX, never had a lick of trouble. Reading through this, though, I begin to wonder if you don't have a bad mod. Mine's as tough as a battleship would be, if Swiss watchmakers built battleships.

Yeah thats what it's looking like. was trying to avoid that cuz then I have to send it back and be without it for 2 weeks or more.

The only other variable is the Atty. If you are sure it's a good build then sounds like you have to return the DNA 200. You might buy a RX200 to use in the meantime. The price is so low you could keep as 2nd or backup. I"ve heard that it's close in performance to the DNA.

Just enjoy your mod until you have more experience with it. You don't have a problem as far as I can see. I just got the RX200 model and the the secret button press shows my batteries never are equal voltages. But, my Opus battery charger says the mod is using the batteries in a very even manner. Charging batteries in a mod has never made sense to me. If a mod is on the charger, then I can't use it. That is why I bought a 2 amp charger. It charges 2 batteries in 1hour or four@1amp in 2 hours. Enjoy your DNA200 mod.

BTW, I bet there is a calibration procedure you have to follow with the DNA200 chip and software.

Lol, that would be painful for me, too :)
