Hello everyone, I really appreciate this site. I began vaping about a year ago using eonsmoke. I was becoming dissatisfied with eon as it seems like they tweeked something in their products to make it feel like I was sucking on an empty straw. A month ago, my cousin opened a smoke shop and introduced me to something much better, and I started using a battery from evape.us, thats what it's marked. Now he showed me an Evic, and I started reading up on reviews and have been reading this forum quite a bit. I am looking to kick regular cigarettes altogether, and this has gotten me down to about 3 cigarettes a day from a pack to a pack and a half.

I look forward to learning more, and eventually upgrading what I have. Great to meet you all :)

Hi Doug,
Welcome and congrats on the switch. Yep, its common for many not to like those small cig a likes. I hated them and relapsed back to analogs (thank God for the 30 day no hassle return policy). Evic is a big improvement from them and i think you will find the true pleasures of vaping from one and it will make quitting stinkies less painful. Good luck!

The only thing holding me back on the Evic is the size....so large compared to what I have now, and I had a hard enough time adjusting with this one....hmmmm

Welcome Doug! Warning - this site is dangerous! There's so much information and people are so helpful that you'll be upgrading before you know it. I did and am very happy now. Getting a good device made kicking the butts much easier than I could have imagined. You can do it too.

What have you upgraded to White?

Doug,
I admit it, I went crazy. I started my journey by buying a Blu kit instead of a carton of cigarettes. I really didn't like it but I kept with it while I started researching and found ECF. I decided to go all in and bought a ProVari mini. I read stories of people who started with a basic e-cig, went on to an Ego, then something else that sounded nice and finally to a ProVari. Part of my rationale for spending the extra money up front is that I don't like to spend money. This way I cut out the middle steps and a month of not smoking a pack a day will pay for it (not including the juices and other stuff I bought). In the long run, it's worth it to me - it's awesome. I feel like I'm growing into it rather than growing out of it. My choice may not be right for you. There are many, very good options between the Blu and ProVari. The secret is to find what works for you and enjoy it. Happy vaping!

Well, after researching and reading reviews last night, today I took a little trip to a Vape Store a little while away and purchased the full size Provari in Black with blue LED. I didn't read a bad review on this piece, and so far I am loving it! Money well spent.

Welcome Doug...the other's speak the truth. There is so much information and so many helpful people here you could probally spend a 40 hour week just studying this place. It should be easily worth a college civic's or human studies credits. Take your time, look around, don't be afraid to ask questions. The truth is that you are going to buy a thing or two (or four of five) that you won't like. This is a learning curve....I can tell you what I like and don't but that is my preference....I like'd one kind of analoge cigarette and you more than likely preferred something else. You're going to pick the wrong flavor of e juice once or twice, or like a bottom coil over a carto (all this will make sense later,) my advice is jump in head first. Pick something. There's a 50/50 chance you will or will not like it. But it give's you a starting point. And from there...well...it's kinda like a Candyland board to finding what works best for you. Good luck and welcome.

welcome doug. NJ here also. Morris County. Where abouts are you from?

Hi RJP, thanks. I'm from Middlesex County, North Brunswick. What type of mod do you use?

I, too, have an eVic and agreed - it will be take some time to get used to the size and length (that's what she said - pardon the pun :) ). BUT, I'd carry a bazooka device if I can get rid of that square analog box containment system from my left pocket!!! :toast:

im using a provari and protank myself. love it!

This site has been INCREDIBLY helpful. Before finding it, it seemed like everyone used these Mods for illegal substances, I started to think I may had been looking at the wrong hardware

I have spent a lot of money on this new little obsession so far lol. After researching the Evic and being hesitant about the size, reviews kept going back to the Provari. Everything got compared to it. So as mentioned earlier, I went to a store that had a Blue Mini, and the owner owned the Black full size with the Blue LED for himself. I loved the size of the Mini, but I always prefer black. The owner was willing to sell me his full size black, and the Vape was precisely what I was seeking. Consistent from the beginning to the end of the battery charge. So, I had been loving it, and continually reading about it while in the back of my mind regretting not getting the Mini. So Thursday I ended up just buying a black Mini with green LED and an extension cap direct from Provape and will be putting the full size on eBay to replenish my losses. I am so happy I did this as it has been the perfect size and precisely what I had been searching all along.

So thank you all for your help and reviews. Since I began using the Provari I had 1 cigarette (Stupid) to finish the pack I had, and have had no desire to smoke since. I look forward to learning more about this. Last thing, I ended up getting another Protank and it is my preference to use it at this point. I also learned in this forum how to stop that gurgling by simply blowing it out.

Right on Doug. Congrats on making up your mind. I wish I could. I do what, well... what I call it the goldfish routine... Every time I see something I have to buy it. Then I buy it. Then I love it. Then I get online and start reading and looking (stupidly,) at other mods/devices that keep coming out or I just having discovered yet and I do the goldfish routine of "oh, look at the shiny, oh, and that is shiny and black...oh, new glass thank i gotta have three of those (do'h!) I am saving up for a black provari myself. Hoping this payday is the one. Happy Vaping And enjoy your new "shiny" :toast:
